We are heartbroken to see the devastation and tragic loss of life on the Island of Maui, Hawai‘i, a much-loved destination and a community that many Marriott associates call home. While we are still actively assessing the impact on our associates, it is clear that many have been touched by the devastation. We are grateful for the efforts of emergency responders as well as our local teams on the ground. Marriott is supporting relief organizations, including World Central Kitchen and the American Red Cross, as they assist the affected community in Maui, and we are using the Marriott Disaster Relief Fund (MDRF) and Marriott’s TakeCare Relief Fund (TCRF) to provide resources and support directly to associates who have been impacted by this terrifying situation. In addition, Marriott’s Hawai‘i Business Council has mobilized to support relief efforts, raising funds, and donating essential items to help our associates.
