Exciting News Alert 📢📢📢 SNDBX Atlanta has been officially launched! 💃🕺🥳 On Friday, July 12th, our sister company SNDBX opened its 2nd branch in Atlanta, USA, marking a significant milestone in its quest to become a global hub of innovation. The SNDBX | The Village Experts, which originally opened on February 27th, 2020, is a one-stop shop for entrepreneurs seeking a wide array of professional and consulting services. The Kenyan branch currently boasts over 32 non-competing experts and has served thousands of businesses to date. We expect the same success in Atlanta and the upcoming German and South African branches, scheduled to open before the end of the year. The launch began with an inspiring introduction by SNDBX Atlanta's Lead Iruku Makanga. This was followed by insights from the Innovation Director at The Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs and the introduction of the SNDBX Atlanta experts. In his remarks at the launch, SNDBX CEO & WYLDE Co-Founder Joram Mwinamo stated, “There are 500 million entrepreneurs globally, and I’m sure they are all facing the same challenges” highlighting the need for a SNDBX in every corner of the world. Our CEO, Christopher Odongo, also shared his insights during a vibrant panel discussion with Ricardo Berrís, Roxann Smithers, and Jennifer Barbosa. When asked about opportunities in the Kenyan market, he said, “If you are able to package your passion into a viable business, there will always be an opportunity for you in the market.” The launch was also attended by other visionary Kenyan founders, including Wandia Gichuru of Vivo Fashion Group , who recently opened her 27th store in Atlanta. This underscores the potential for Kenyan businesses to become global brands. Visit the SNDBX website to learn more and stay tuned to find out if SNDBX is opening a branch in a city near you. #SNDBXAtlanta #PoweringYouToWin Shakiri Murrain, MBA | Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs | Halcyon | Daniel J. PHOTOGRAPHY: One of Kenya’s leading fashion groups, Vivo, opened its first U.S. store in Atlanta, Georgia, at Atlanta Station Mall, showcasing African innovation and entrepreneurship. Kenyan President William Ruto graced the opening early last week while on a tour of the US. The brand operates 26 retail stores across Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, including Shop Zetu, East Africa’s fastest-growing online fashion marketplace. Vivo also boasts over 360 employees, of which over 70 per cent are women. Vivo was founded by Wandia Gichuru and Anne Marie Burugu in 2011. A decade later, it has grown to become one of East Africa’s most prominent ladies' fashion brands. It designs and manufactures 100% on the African continent and aims to inspire a generation of African fashion entrepreneurs. The company is also female-led in Atlanta, Georgia. Vivo has allied with Kenyan retail brands to export products made in Kenya to the United States. Anna Njoroge, the owner and CEO of Ythera Beauty, told VOA this week that the opening of Vivo's first store in the US is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of Kenyan women. Kenya has a rich cultural heritage, and diverse traditional attires and textiles influence modern fashion trends. The colorful prints, beadwork, and intricate designs from various Kenyan communities have inspired contemporary fashion designers. In the past two decades, there has been a surge of talented Kenyan fashion designers who have gained popularity locally and internationally. 📸 Courtesy Photos/ IG #AfricanBrands #WomenInLeadership Vivo Fashion Group I Wandia Gichuru I
