Exciting visit to our fittings factory in Wittlich 🏭 At the beginning of July, our Supervisory Board, accompanied by Alexander and Luitwin Gisbert von Boch-Galhau as well as Chairwoman of the Management Board Gabi Schupp was warmly welcomed by the Ideal Standard team in Wittlich. The visit was an excellent opportunity for the committee to see the site in action and get a first-hand impression of the fittings production. The visit was an important step in the integration journey of the Villeroy & Boch and Ideal Standard bathroom business. When testing our toilets, we use different flushing media such as plastic balls of various sizes, golf balls, or pages from telephone books. Celebration of this year's jubilees 🎉 Congratulations to our long-standing employees who have been contributing to our company's success for 25, 40, or 45 years. In total, we honoured over 100 jubilees and celebrated their remarkable achievements and longterm loyalty. The official part of the evening began with a thank-you speech from our Chairwoman of the Management Board, Gabi Schupp, and CHRO, Esther Jehle. The evening's programme was centred around an exciting casino night with various games. There were great prizes to be won, including a stay at a spa resort as the main prize. After the awards ceremony, we concluded the evening in a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Reorganisation of the responsibilities of the Management Board Today, our Supervisory Board resolved a structural reorganisation of the Management Board responsibilities and a corresponding change in the Group organisation with effect from 1 August 2024. As part of the new allocation of responsibilities, the current Bathroom & Wellness division will be merged with Ideal Standard and divided into the three functional areas of Operations, Sales and Marketing/R&D/Product Management. The Operations area will be assigned to a new Management Board function "Chief Operations Officer Bathroom & Wellness" (COO B&W); "Purchasing" and "ESG" will be assigned to this Management Board function. The new COO B&W function will be assumed by the current member of the Management Board (Bathroom & Wellness), Georg Lörz. Furthermore, the positions of Executive Vice President Marketing/R&D/Product Management and Executive Vice President Sales Bath & Wellness will be established below the Management Board and assigned to the Chairwoman of the Management Board (CEO). Jan Peter Tewes, currently Managing Director of Ideal Standard, will assume the position of Executive Vice President Sales Bath & Wellness; the next step will be to fill the EVP Marketing position. **** Neuorganisation der Vorstandsressorts Unser Aufsichtsrat hat heute eine strukturelle Neuorganisation der Vorstandsressorts und eine entsprechende veränderte Konzernorganisation mit Wirkung zum 1. August 2024 beschlossen. Im Rahmen der neuen Ressortverteilung wird der Vorstandsbereich Bad & Wellness mit Ideal Standard zusammengeführt und in die drei funktionalen Bereiche Operations, Sales und Marketing/R&D/Product Management aufgeteilt. Der Bereich Operations wird dabei bei einer neuen Vorstandsfunktion „Chief Operations Officer Bad & Wellness“ (COO B&W) angesiedelt; diesem Vorstandsbereich werden „Einkauf“ und „ESG“ zugeordnet. Diese neue Funktion COO B&W übernimmt das bisherige Vorstandsmitglied (Bad & Wellness) Georg Lörz. Des Weiteren werden die Positionen Executive Vice President Marketing/R&D/Product Management und Executive Vice President Sales Bad & Wellness unterhalb des Vorstands etabliert und der Vorstandsvorsitzenden (CEO) zugeordnet. Winner of the Toilets Making the Grade® competition chosen at the German School Toilet Summit 🏆 Congratulations to Stielerstraße Primary School (Munich), Hellweg Secondary School (Unna), and Winsen High School (Winsen an der Luhe) for their outstanding concepts to improve school toilets. A total of 135 schools from 14 federal states participated, demonstrating the importance of clean and well-designed toilets for the well-being and health of students. Constantin von Boch was present at the award ceremony in Berlin and presented the main prizes to Winsen Grammar School. We, alongside Domestos, Knorr-Bremse Global Care e. Inauguration of heating centre and photovoltaic system 🎉 On 6 June 2024, we celebrated a significant event at the Ideal Standard fittings' production site in Wittlich together with guests and employees: a new heating center and photovoltaic system. Not only the entire heating system in the boiler house was renewed last year. More than 3,000 photovoltaic panels were also installed on open spaces and roofs. These modernisations lay the foundation for a future-oriented energy supply at the plant 🌱 **** Einweihung von Heizzentrale und Photovoltaikanlage 🎉 Am 6. Juni 2024 haben wir am Armaturenproduktionsstandort von Ideal Standard in Wittlich gemeinsam mit geladenen Gästen und Mitarbeitenden ein bedeutendes Ereignis gefeiert: eine neue Heizzentrale und Photovoltaikanlage. Im vergangenen Jahr wurde nicht nur das gesamte Wärmesystem im Kesselhaus erneuert. Auch wurden auf Freiflächen und Dächern insgesamt mehr als 3.000 Photovoltaikpanels installiert. Discover the buzz in Old Abbey park 🐝 Since June last year, 250,000 bees have found a new home in Mettlach. They have been busy humming in our Abbey park ever since and have already collected 31kg of honey. Our beekeeper, Jonas Frey, gave us the chance to gain a brief insight into the life and activities of our bees at the Mettlach site through a very interesting beehive tour. Thank you, Jonas! 🍯 **** Entdecke das Summen im Abteipark 🐝 Seit Juni letzten Jahres haben 250.000 Bienen ein neues Zuhause bei uns in Mettlach gefunden. In unserem Abteipark summen sie seither fleißig und haben bereits 31 kg Honig gesammelt. Unser Imker, Jonas Frey, bot uns die Möglichkeit, während einer sehr interessanten Bienenstockführung einen kurzen Einblick in das Leben und Treiben unserer Bienen am Standort Mettlach zu erhalten.
