Great news: The Senate Ways and Means Committee included our livable wage bill's reporting language in the FY 2025 budget proposal! 📊 This report will compare wages between community-based human services workers and state workers in similar roles. Contact your legislators today to support the Senate language in the Chapter 257 Reserve line item (1599-6903). Both House and Senate included $390 million, but only the Senate added the crucial reporting language. Let's ensure it makes the final budget! 🗳️ Use our Action Center to send a pre-written letter to your legislators now. Your efforts are making a significant impact! 💪 https://lnkd.in/eYMuyky2

Voices Raised for Living Wages and Student Loan Relief at the #CaringForceRally The State House in Boston echoed with the powerful stories and testimonies of hundreds of human service workers, members, and their families yesterday at the #CaringForceRally. Our rallying call? The urgent need for living wages and assistance with education loan repayment to attract and retain dedicated professionals in this vital field. Our Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Ricard Torres-Mateluna was interviewed by WWLP-22News, spotlighting a critical issue – the shortage of bilingual human service professionals to provide culturally competent care within our diverse communities. Ensuring access to high-quality services for individuals with disabilities remains a top priority. We extend our gratitude to the Providers' Council (Massachusetts Council of Human Service Providers, Inc.) for organizing this impactful event. Their unwavering advocacy plays a crucial role in improving the lives of community members across the Commonwealth by supporting the human service workforce. Through collective voices and unwavering determination, we can create a future where human service professionals are valued, supported, and empowered to make a profound difference in the lives of those they serve. https://lnkd.in/gS5p7ChB
