Established in 1996, Veritas Academy's mission is to cultivate loving, serving, thinking students through classical Christian education. Serving over 350 preschool through 12th grade students, Veritas is committed to a distinctly classical model of education that educates the whole child through the three great liberal arts of Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric, also known as the Trivium. A robust, excellent education marked by deeply joyful learning and centered in Christ characterizes the academic culture at Veritas. We are a tradition-affirming school, not only upholding the great traditions of the Western world and church, but also fostering memorable, lasting traditions in our school community that bring joy and laughter, year in and year out. Our distinctly classical curriculum presents all subjects and disciplines as informing each other, with Christ as the focal point, guiding students to see how God is glorified in all subjects. A Great Books education at Veritas means that students study the world's most influential original texts and examine and discuss how these works have impacted culture, theology, civics, philosophy, and sociology. Beginning in the Grammar phase, students up through grade 6 focus on fun memorization and learning the facts. In the middle school Logic phase, students are given the tools to reason well and think critically. The high school Rhetoric phase hones students' communication skills so they can share ideas and engage the world winsomely. All phases incorporate immersive, memorable events and activities. Our vision is to be a community connecting students with truth, beauty, and goodness for Christ's calling. We see it as a privilege support families and partner with parents to train up their children in God's truth and love, and provide an education that prepares them to be engaged, effective, and joyful citizens that impact their communities for good.
