Let’s break down the community engagement component of our Venture Cooperative cohort sessions: 💻Our team will hold office hours for small groups (8-10 people). These sessions offer a space for in-depth discussions and questions not answered during class. ☕We facilitate virtual coffee chats between fellows to ensure you’re fostering meaningful connections within the group. 📝If you find a company that fits our investment strategy, share it with us. You’ll be involved in the investment process and receive upside if we make the investment. 🤝We occasionally host events, mainly in New York City, for face-to-face interactions and deeper connections. 📈Fellows can engage in paid research projects with our investment team, diving deep into specific topics. 🗣We encourage fellows to lead sessions on their areas of expertise, fostering peer-to-peer learning. We get asked often, why did we start the Venture Cooperative? The easiest answer is, through hiring for Laconia’s internship program (which Geri Kirilova went through), we realized there is a massive pool of talented people, but we could only engage a few at a time. We brainstormed ways to create the most amount of impact, and the Venture Cooperative was born!
