We believe the best care happens between one human being and another, face to face, eye to eye, heart to heart.
About us
We know it can feel like modern technology has pushed healthcare to the point where the word “care” doesn’t mean much anymore. Well, it does to us. Since 1929, when Dr. John Brougher traveled the backroads of rural Washington to deliver babies to patients who paid him in chickens, Vancouver Clinic has been led by doctors and staffed by experts who work together to take great care of our patients. 80 years later, Caring for Others is still our purpose and our mission, and the driving force behind everything we do. Because if we’ve learned anything over the years, it’s that the best care happens between one human being and another, face to face, eye to eye, heart to heart.

Vancouver Clinic’s LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group participated in the Pride Block Party held in downtown Vancouver over the weekend. Employee Resource Group members Brittany Sloan and Ellie Fowell engaged with several hundred people during the day-long event. “People appreciated seeing us at the event, knowing that we care about our community," Sloan said. They handed out magnets, bags, fans, and tattoos. They also listened to people’s experiences with Vancouver Clinic and provided helpful information. "We heard a lot of great stories about how our patients received exceptional and compassionate care,” Fowell said.

Congratulations to Dr. Leslie Disher, who has completed an incredible 1,000 robotic-assisted surgeries for patients. Dr. Disher is one of Vancouver’s most experienced general surgeons using minimally invasive, robotic-assisted technology. She advocates for using outpatient robotic surgery when it’s appropriate for the patient, as it typically results in a faster and more comfortable recovery than other techniques. For the last year, Dr. Disher has performed many of these outpatient procedures at Vancouver Clinic’s state-of-the-art Surgery Center at Salmon Creek 2. Thank you, Dr. Disher, for the expert care you give to our patients and our community.
