As we commemorate Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, we want to bring awareness to freedoms commonly overlooked, particularly for Black communities and communities of color: the human right to clean air, clean water, healthy food, and thriving communities. Environmental injustices in Nashville have inhibited those rights. Learn more about environmental injustice in Nashville in our Sustainable in the City episode with Dr. David Padgett of Tennessee State University. https://lnkd.in/eB7H52HQ

Exciting news! Urban Green Lab and Zero Waste Nashville have transitioned Sustainable in the City to a podcast! In this new format, Sustainable in the City will be released on the third Tuesday of every month as a podcast rather than a live webinar. The podcast format lets you listen in at the time that works best for you on Spotify, Amazon Music, or wherever you get your podcasts! Each episode will feature a Nashville resident who takes small sustainable actions that make a big impact on Nashville. We’ll chat with your neighbors, coworkers, and fellow community members about the benefits, barriers, and motivators in their sustainability story. Listen to the trailer now and mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 18, to listen to our first episode! https://lnkd.in/e9q7BygA
