UFP teammates Chris Thompson, Salina, KS, CM, and Anna Rivera, Kansas City, MO (Antioch), CM, just returned from an incredible volunteer trip to the Dominican Republic with Soles4Souls due to the success of our shoe drive last year. Our team served nearly 800 children and families by sizing their feet, distributing new shoes, and connecting with thousands of people, learning about their rich culture and lifestyle while making joyful memories playing with the children during the trip.   Thank you to Soles4Souls for inviting our teammates and for your efforts in making a difference in the world around us.

Last week, our Support Center teammates huddled in Austin for a Leadership Development Conference. The team participated in exercises to define culture among their teams and our organization as a whole. Teammates left feeling inspired and full of positive energy for what’s to come!

We are thrilled to announce we’re partnering with Victory Project and Sporting KC to host our first-ever 5K in Kansas City on Saturday, July 20th! The Victory Run x Planet Fitness 5K will raise funds to further the organization's mission, which includes providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for kids fighting cancer to experience a VIP weekend with Sporting Kansas City as Match Day Honorees. Things heated up last weekend during the Planet Fitness Dodgeball Bash. This was our first year sponsoring the iconic Laurel, MS event that raises funds for the Laurel Main Street Organization who is committed to preserving Laurel’s unique heritage while ensuring ongoing economic stability. UFP teammates from Mississippi and Louisiana opened the run and held the line representing ‘ The Dodgefathers’ and ‘Game of Throws.' Congratulations to the winning team, Community Bank!    Thank you to District Manager, Natalie Kirk, for coordinating the event and to all of our teammates for joining in the community fun!

We're excited to welcome high school age teens, 14-19, the opportunity to workout for FREE across Planet Fitness locations all summer long as a part of the High School Summer Pass™! This program positively impacts the physical and mental health of millions of teens during a critical time of year when school is out, and important academic or extracurricular activities are on pause. Our Oklahoma City, OK teammates supported community members after a devastating tornado touched down in Barnsdall, OK by partnering with Mercy Chefs, a non-profit organization committed to providing meals in disaster areas. Teammates helped cook hearty meals and collected donations such as blankets, clothing, and canned goods for those affected.   Thank you to our Ponca City, OK, and Stillwater, OK, teammates for lending your hand in making a profound difference in the Barnsdall community and embodying our mission of changing lives.

As part of our mission in changing people's lives, we were thrilled to support the Dream Program's mission of providing inclusive leisure and recreational experiences for individuals of varying abilities to improve their quality of life, increase independence, and provide an opportunity to discover his or her own potential.
