Building peace in the minds of women and men
About us
UNESCO - the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) was founded on 16 November 1945. For this specialized United Nations agency, it is not enough to build classrooms in devastated countries or to publish scientific breakthroughs. Education, Social and Natural Science, Culture and Communication are the means to a far more ambitious goal : to build peace in the minds of women and men.

What lies at the source of mountains creation? Yes, you can admire the lands where the Armorican Massif developed over 300 million years ago, on a Geopark getaway in the Normandie-Maine Global Geopark in France. Just like many social bonds we have, the connection and collaboration between local residents, elected officials and associations allows the ecosystem to be preserved. For instance, this network allowed to restore 120 hectares of moorland and 10 hectares of peat bogs. Discover the UNESCO Global Geoparks, and how they are protecting the interrelation between nature, history and culture 👉 https://lnkd.in/epkHhYGc

Data doesn't discriminate – it illuminates. By leveraging analytics in #Sports, we can expose gender disparities, challenge biases, and create equal opportunities for female athletes. From pay gaps to media coverage, numbers tell the real story. As Research Director of Global Observatory for Gender Equality & Sport, Lombe Mwambwa says, we can turn statistics into action and #ChangeTheGame. It's time to let data lead the way to a more equitable sporting world. Join the team for change: https://lnkd.in/gjx_BprN #Fit4Life
