Thanks to the Lemonade community, we will be receiving $125,720 through the Lemonade Giveback 2024! This is an essential donation that will go to investing in necessary TWLOHA programs so that we can continue bridging the gap to help. Because of Lemonade's community, we will be able to support 96,000 high school students through our Between the Bells Program which empowers teens to not only have the conversation about their mental health but also know exactly where to go if they need help. It will also invest in our FIND HELP Tool which has made getting connected to local, affordable mental health services significantly easier. We created our FIND HELP Tool to eliminate the challenges when searching for support, and through donations like these, we can ensure that it is readily available for anyone who needs it. Our online community is a safe place for those hurting. Every day we are able to point people to crucial resources and be a place of support for those struggling. Partnerships like this give us the ability to sustain our presence online and we've seen firsthand the life-saving impact that can have. Thank you to everyone who is a part of the Lemonade community that made this possible. Your support of this mission is fuel for change. Mental health resources and conversations have come a long way, but stigma and barriers remain, keeping resources limited and people struggling alone. Don’t underestimate the impact your voice, financial support, and compassion can have in saving lives. #LemonadeGiveback

We’re already preparing for our biggest campaign of the year—Suicide Prevention Month this September. Our work in suicide prevention wouldn’t be possible without our supporters, so we’re asking you to get involved. ❕We’re looking for videos of you finishing the phrase “I’m alive because…” ❕ Videos can be tricky, so we have some specific asks: - Film in a well-lit area with no background noise or visual distractions - Film vertically (with your phone going up and down!) - Aim for 15 seconds or less! We know this prompt is heavy, but we want to give room to as many people as possible. - Email social@twloha.com with your final video or with any questions *By submitting a video you understand that it may be used publicly on our social media platforms. Depending on the volume of videos sent, we can’t guarantee that each one will be used, but know that we appreciate your time and dedication to sharing hope + help.

There were over 100,000 drug-related overdose deaths in 2022. No matter the reason, no matter the circumstance, harm reduction is the key to preventing these deaths and keeping people breathing so that they have a chance at recovery. While sobriety, recovery, and healing are our dreams for every single person struggling with substance abuse, we know that those things don’t happen overnight. Only about 1 in 10 people with a substance use disorder receive treatment and most don’t even realize that treatment is needed. Harm reduction is often the first step to helping someone, and most importantly, it can literally save their life. Things like overdose reversal medications (Naloxone), health and safety information, working against the stigma that keeps people struggling in silence, and community-based care are just a few ways that we can help those struggling with drug abuse. For more information on harm reduction and how you can be educated, head to https://lnkd.in/dU9V5r-k.

So proud to see our 2023 Suicide Prevention Month video was honored this past weekend with an Emmy win! 🤩🥹 We’re so thankful to @hey_frazier, @lindseyfrazier, @dustmiller, and all the other wonderful humans who made this project possible. So many people come together to share the life-saving message of hope and help every September. Last year, we rallied around the belief that the world is NOT better without you, and this video helped communicate that message in a powerful and memorable way. Here’s to a well-deserved round of applause. 🧡

Freedom to live is freedom to heal. Freedom to heal is freedom to thrive. Freedom to thrive is freedom to grow. Today, we celebrate Juneteenth. ✨ What is Juneteenth?✨ Juneteenth is a holiday celebrating June 19, 1865, when news of the 1863 Emancipation Proclamation reached enslaved people in Texas, marking the effective “end of slavery” in the United States. ✨ When did Juneteenth become a holiday?✨ Black people have long been celebrating this day, but this is only the fourth year that Juneteenth has been recognized as a national holiday, proof of the slow-moving progress this country has made in celebrating Black people and acknowledging its violent past. ✨ Why do we celebrate Juneteenth?✨ We celebrate Juneteenth because the fight for equality continues. Discrimination, violence through systemic racism, biases, and racial disparities all contribute to Black people not getting the mental health care they deserve. This holiday serves as a reminder of the heaviness of history but also to celebrate & honor the Black Americans who worked for the emancipation of their people. Celebrating Juneteenth is part of the collective healing process. Healing is multifaceted, and we know that this generational trauma deserves proper attention and care. When we create space to collectively learn from the past and allow it to guide us into the future, community healing becomes possible. Let us know how you’ll be honoring this day—and if your community or organization is hosting a Juneteenth event, drop it in the comments so those who are looking to celebrate, learn, or honor can get involved!
