Wonderful that Tim Rossanis, our VP of Turo Australia, was featured on the morning news today sharing our Turo story which highlights how easily our peer to peer car sharing platform empowers folks to generate additional income for their households. #findyourdrive
It was great chatting with Abbey Geran from Nine News this week, to share a moving example of how Turo empowers local hosts to start their own car sharing business - supporting individuals in the community and the local tourism economy (link to video in comments). Two years ago, Stuart Oliver had a life changing car accident which left him with severe whiplash and meant his job as a painter/decorator was no longer viable. Fast forward two years and he's now been able to replace a large proportion of his previous income by starting a car sharing business, working only ~15 hours a week instead of 50, renting out 4 vehicles on Turo. It's still early days for us here in Australia, but our unique variety of vehicles is already a cut above the rest across the country. Do yourself a favour and give us a go next time you need a car - not only will you be supporting someone like Stuart, but you'll also get more value and a better selection of vehicles to choose from!
