About us

We’re TTX, a company that provides railcars and related freight car management tools to the North American rail industry. Our pool of railcars – nearly 220,000 strong – helps support shippers in a wide range of industries. We’re owned by North America’s strongest railroads, and our free-running cars help minimize empty miles – so risks and costs are lowered, too. Our bright yellow cars are recognizable, and so is our commitment to meeting the country’s transportation needs. Company leaders and the Field Maintenance Operation in Flint, Michigan celebrated their 10-year milestone of safe operation without an injury on July 11, 2024. “It did not happen by chance,” said Jeff Mu, TTX’s Director Environmental Health and Safety. He added, “It takes everyone at the site to exercise safety - one day at a time, one task at a time, through “Think It Through, Take 2,” great communication and watching out for each other. It was very impressive to observe how heavy work was done safely and seamlessly. Keep it up Flint team!”

ConnecTTX, TTX Company’s Business Resource Group dedicated to giving back to our community, was proud to partner with Blessings in a Backpack - Chicago Chapter to fill 500 bags of food that will be given to Chicago area students this Friday. Blessings in a Backpack is an organization whose mission is to provide food on the weekends for school-aged children who might otherwise go hungry. A special thank you to ConnecTTX leader Sara Wulf, and members Dea Poshi, Alexandra M. Mischou and Tim Hennessy who worked behind the scenes to make this event possible. Tim also serves as a member of the Blessing in a Backpack Chicago Associate Chapter Board. TTX is proud to live our value, Do The Right Thing, and help ensure these families don’t go hungry this weekend.

Last week, our 2023 Intern Cohort presented their Capstone presentations, which outlined key projects they were involved in throughout their time at TTX. From helping to standardize processes, to streamlining and creating new workflows, each intern’s unique talents and perspectives will bring value to TTX for years to come. A huge thank you to every TTX employee who took time to mentor, engage and teach our business to our intern class. To our interns: we look forward to seeing all the great things you will do. Best of luck this semester!
