Week 3 of TRC: Action & Learning! 🐦 🌼 🌾 🔬 Hydraulics lesson + storm drain training led to hands-on work with the City of Dallas cleaning West Dallas neighborhoods. They also conducted all 4 surveys (water, bugs, birds, plants) at John Bunker Sands Wetland Center (JBS) 🪲 and helped remove invasive species with the I-20 Wildlife Preserve group! #TRCLearning #Dallas #Conservation

Last week we wrapped up week 2 of the Trinity River Crew and it was a whirlwind of learning and fun! 🌱 🔬 🐛 💧 The crew tackled water usage (who knew showers used so much H2O?!), learned to catch dragonflies like ninjas (thanks Texas Parks & Wildlife !), and even got schooled on money management by Bank of America (gotta be prepared for those first paychecks!). They explored Hines Park with birdwatching adventures and dipped their toes into water quality testing at Fish Trap Lake. Plus, they got a behind-the-scenes look at how Dallas keeps its water sparkling clean with a water treatment plant tour! What a jam-packed week! #trinityrivercrew #trinitytrailsdallas #dallastexas
