But first, I've got some news to share.
Last week was my last week as Director of Marketing & Development at The Company Lab.
The decision to step down from my role wasn't easy—
but sometimes new opportunities have a way of
unexpectedly changing your whole life.
The gratitude I feel for my time at The Company Lab is boundless.
This organization is well poised to completely change the game for entrepreneurship in Chattanooga—it already is.
Because it's led & staffed by a team of visionaries.
Special shout out to Tasia Malakasis for being my greatest mentor.
Special shout out to Angela Poffenbaugh for your ingenuity, creativity, & endless optimism. I'm SO thrilled to see your career flourish.
All that said—
my time in the startup ecosystem is far from over.
It's only the beginning.
I just wrapped up my first week as interim Marketing Director at Totem,
a high-growth tech startup here in Chattanooga
that has quickly become a global sensation.
In just 6 weeks:
💠 $8k pre-sales -> $2.4M+ pre-sales
💠 600 followers -> 90,000+ followers
💠 72 subscribers -> 17,000+ subscribers
This has already been one of the wildest,
most meaningful experiences of my life.
From exhibiting with Totem at SXSW,
to managing a social media following of nearly 100K+,
I've been challenged in ways I never anticipated this early on.
I'm so thrilled and honored to work with this incredible founding team.
That said—please note that my time with Totem is temporary.
After the next 3-4 months, after we've successfully delivered our product into the hands of our tribe, I will be exploring new opportunities—including consulting projects or other positions that can benefit from my experience for marketing within the tech and startup spaces.
