Thoughtful technology + sustainable design to wrap any gift. Join us @tokkigifting.

About us

Hi there, we are Tokki, a company on a mission to ignite joy through gifting. We’re revolutionizing the gift wrap category – making gifting more meaningful and sustainable. That’s why we enable users to gift more memorably by attaching videos and photos to their gift using a unique built-in digital card. Paired with our gift bags made out of recycled water bottles, Tokki everGreeting cards + gift bags are designed to be reused over and over, reducing waste with each gift given. In 2019, Founder Jane Park was staring at the piles of gift wrap filling her living room post-holidays, wondering what she was going to do with all of it. She was surprised when a quick online search revealed that most gift wrap is not recyclable. Since a lot of gift wrap isn’t recyclable – millions of pounds end up in landfills each year - enough to circle the earth at least nine times. When was the last time you were given a gift that made you feel truly seen? At Tokki, our goal is to give every gift that wow-factor. The best part is whatever you’re giving, putting it in a Tokki gift bag will transform it into the most thoughtful and beautiful gift that they’ve ever received. Whether you’re sending gifts to your clients, welcoming your friend's new baby, or thanking attendees at your event--we have the finishing touch that turns your gift into a unique and memorable experience. We welcome you to connect with us @tokkigifting on Instagram and TikTok or at https://shop.tokki.com/ to learn more about how we re-imagine the gifting experience.

Happy Earth Day! Our Founder Jane Hyo-Sung Park shares her approach to climate action.

View profile for Jane Hyo-Sung Park, graphic

CEO & Founder of Tokki, making gifting more meaningful and sustainable

“Yes, I figured out EVERYTHING before I launched my company,” said no founder, ever. Especially when it comes to the complexities of climate change. As entrepreneurs, we try to replace the question, “Is this the very most effective thing we can do?” with the question, “Is this a step in the right direction we can take today?” Then we iterate forward. As the wise Maya Angelou once said, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” In everything we do at Tokki, including sourcing and manufacturing, we are trying to put these words into practice. We are not materials scientists, but we are learning more each day. And as we know better, we will do better. In celebration of #EarthDay, tag a friend who inspires you to do better!

A note from our founder, Jane Hyo-Sung Park, to kick off Earth Month! "I am an entrepreneur because I have a strong bias toward action. In my book, the disengagement of doing nothing is so much worse than trying something, even if that something seems small, insignificant, and might not be the very best something possible.   This is the approach we take to climate action at Tokki. If I were queen of the world, many things would be very different, including global carbon emissions. But I am queen of myself (well after Beyonce anyway, who is queen of us all), and CEO of Tokki, a company dedicated to reducing waste in gifting.   I try to replace the question, “Will this really make a difference?” with the question, “Is this something I can do today?” As the wise Maya Angelou once said, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”   In everything we do at Tokki, including sourcing and manufacturing, we are trying to put these words into practice. We are not materials scientists, but we are learning more each day. And as we know better, we will do better."

What is better than one woman succeeding? A woman succeeding while helping other women and shining her light on other successful women! Our founder Jane Hyo-Sung Park and her friend Vicky Nguyen do that for each other. #womenshistorymonth #inspirationalwomen #trailblazingwomen

Thanks Vicky Nguyen for your kind words this Women's History Month - but I'm the one who is so inspired by YOU! We need your thoughtful, tenacious journalism needed now more than ever. I've been so excited to watch you rise to become the first Asian American anchor of NBC News Daily. Your accomplishments are even more astounding since you started your life fleeing violence as a Vietnamese refugee, arriving in America with nothing. But what I admire most is the way you are always reaching down and across with one hand to pull others up as you climb with the other. The kindness, generosity and positive energy you bring to the world in your private life is as impactful as your public work. I admire you so much, and am deeply grateful to know you as a friend. Everyone please watch and follow Vicky! And thanks Mika Brzezinski and Lisa Sun for bringing us together! #womenshistorymonth #inspirationalwomen #trailblazingwomen

In light of #employeeappreciationday tomorrow, our founder Jane Hyo-Sung Park shared helpful advice when it comes to recognizing employees the way THEY WANT to be recognized. What is the worst or best employee recognition gift you have received? https://lnkd.in/gqYjMZig

Are you struggling to find the right way to show your gratitude to your team? As Employee Appreciation Day approaches on March 1st, it's important to remember that thoughtless gifts can often do more harm than good. I've seen companies give the same generic gifts year after year (3 year old blankets anyone?), sending the message that their employees are an afterthought. And I've witnessed law firms raise expectations for bonuses, only to disappoint their team and ignite fury. The gift doesn't have to be big, it just has to be thoughtful. And one way to share your thoughtfulness is to take the time to write a personalized note of recognition. I started Tokki to help make gifting more meaningful - so we're here to help. Use the code GRATITUDE to get 25% off a Tokki gift card holder or gift bag, and take 30 seconds to write or record a personalized message with a photo or video that makes someone feel seen. So, what's the best or worst employee appreciation gift you've received? Share your experience in the comments below. #EmployeeAppreciationDay #Appreciation #Gratitude #Tokki

I am thrilled to announce and introduce Angie Snyder as the new President at Tokki. Angie brings her consumer-focused leadership from Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, and Aegis, as well as her deep expertise in strategy, line management, and commitment to mentorship.   Angie takes on this role as we look to continue to build out our retail and brand partnerships in our next phase of growth. It is a joy to work alongside Angie and have her as my partner in big picture strategy as well as daily execution. Just last week, we met over our strategic priorities, then rolled up our sleeves to pack out some pallets.   We are fortunate that Angie brings to Tokki an extensive network of creative talent and thoughtful executives who have loved working with her in the past. Her commitment to sustainability and the mission of Tokki is an inspiration to us all.   Please join me in celebrating Angie Snyder! To help you get to know her a little better, we asked her a few questions. Q: What is the last gift you gave? A: I got my 7 year old niece who a Newton’s Gyrobot to build because she is a budding scientist and I wanted to fuel her passion! I am always in search of gifts that continue a conversation I've started with a loved one. Q: What are you reading now? A: I just finished “Wellness” by Nathan Hill. Although I wasn't sure about it in the beginning, it grabbed me and I buzzed through the 600+ pages in no time, enthralled in the reminiscent details and character stories. This book dug up so many memories from the nineties! Q: What are your hobbies? A: You can find me outdoors– hiking, skiing, swimming, garde ning or just walking our dogs. Q: Why Tokki? A: I'm excited about growing Tokki because I was looking for an opportunity to be a part of a company that was committed to making a difference, particularly one that positively impacts the environment. I love Tokki’s mission to reduce gift wrapping waste and make the gifting experience more joyful and connected. It feels so important today to give consumers better choices as we all try to be better stewards of the planet and I am proud we can do that at Tokki. Contrats Angie! We are so lucky to be able to work with you and learn from you.

At Tokki, we wear our values on our sleeves, our packaging sleeves that is….

How do you define success? If the enormous extra effort you put into product packaging falls in a retail forest and no one notices, did it make a difference? Maybe it will a little more if I post about it here and call your attention to it… Instead of just using the same packaging design for all bags of the same size, which would have been far easier and cheaper, at Tokki, we decided to give every bag design its own unique “bellyband”, with a different digital greeting card showcased on the iPhone. This decision enabled us to show diverse occasions, skin tones… and even species. Hey entrepreneurs, let’s make the most out of every opportunity to engage. To add inclusivity, warmth and humanity. Regardless of financial success, this victory is ours. And as a bonus, I got to look at a lot of cute pictures of babies and puppies. If you or your team or your family would like to be featured in our packaging next year let me know! And check us out at Target: https://lnkd.in/gaBwZjMQ

Our CEO's office mess helps make Tokki possible :)

CEO & Founder of Tokki, making gifting more meaningful and sustainable

As a working mom, I've learned that I definitely CAN'T "have it all," but what I CAN do is choose what to let go of. So I choose to let go of a tidy office (this is the actual state of my couch and coffee table this morning). I also choose to let go of spending my time gift wrapping -finding the tape and scissors, cutting and recutting, only to have it all look like I did it with my feet. (I choose to let go of that sense of failure too). Instead, I choose to spend my time making sure that everyone I love KNOWS that I love them. And I choose to spend time building Tokki into everything I know it can be. And wine. I choose wine! I invite you to join me in wrapping easily, sustainably, meaningfully with Tokki. Check us out at Target https://lnkd.in/gaBwZjMQ (PS The New Yorker covers on my office wall are from the months my husband and I were born - when The New Yorker was only 50 cents!) #workingmoms #entrepreneurship #ceolife

Thanks NEW YOU for this thoughtful convo about what is hard about entrepreneurship (short answer: EVERYTHING). One of my favorite pieces of advice to give? Find a shame buddy who you can share your worst moments with who will hold space for you and SEE you. Lisa Sun and I do this for each other. #entrepreneurship #startup #shamebuddy

CEO & Founder of Tokki, making gifting more meaningful and sustainable

The wait is over - Tokki is now available at Target! https://lnkd.in/gaBwZjMQ Online and in hundreds of select stores across the country. Getting here took thousands of decisions, and hundreds of amazing people to make it happen - designers, developers, investors, freight forwarders, marketers, buyers, manufacturing partners, planners ... it took a village. Thank you for working with us, investing in us, helping us pick prints, and cheering us on. I started Tokki to make gifting more joyful and sustainable. I love Tokki because of the incredible people I get to work with. But now we need your help! If you are reading this, will you please pick up a bag (or 10!) for the holidays? Tokkis are: ✅ made with recycled water bottles ✅ feature a personalizable qr card with photo/video/gif ✅ endlessly reusable ✅ just $4.99-6.99. Giving a gift card? Our gift card holders are the most personal way to gift. (check "buy online, pick up in store" to see if we're at one near you). A company is only an idea, and the way you vote for us to stay on the stage is with your dollars. In my last company, I was scared to celebrate milestones because it never felt like it was enough. I guess I never felt like I was enough. And there was always so much more that had to be done for us to survive. This time around, I'm trying to stay in the present, celebrate this incredible milestone, and remember with gratitude and wonder that "I get to do this!" #startup #milestone #gratitude
