The 2025 OPPS Proposed Rule was just released and it may bring you some small joy knowing that the words "price" and "transparency" do not appear together. It looks like CMS is leaving us with last year's changes to implement, so if you have implemented all of the January and July 2024 changes, only the January 1, 2025 remain, which includes adding Estimated Allowed Amount, Drug Unit of Measure, Drug Type of Measurement and Modifiers to your extract. If the July 1, 2024 changes wore your team down, you may want to consider automating your Defensible Pricing Strategy, Pricing Transparency and Chargemaster Management into one suite of applications.
