Congratulations are in order to our friends at #Promax for a successful relaunch event as they evolve into The Global Entertainment Marketing Academy of Arts & Sciences (G.E.M.A.)! Organizations like #GEMA play a vital role in the marketing industry’s advancement and Alexis Boerger and Erika Satler were honored to attend. This rebranding has expanded the Association to go beyond just television, to now include sports, music, and… #GAMING. It was inspiring to see industry powerhouses from FX, IMAX, Crypto.com Arena, Super League, Fox, ESPN, Variety and more take the stage to talk about the current state of marketing in their respective categories. There were many insights shared, but one unifying theme in particular resonated with us, “regardless of the product we are marketing, ultimately, we are selling human emotion and experiences.”

Influencer marketing done well allows the creator to play with a brand in their own style, but what about giving them 100% freedom with no client sign off on the content? 😱😱😱 While that may fill some brand and product leads with fear (and understandably so), it felt like the right thing to do for the BAFTA Games Awards longlist announcement - their first beat of the 2024 campaign. 🎮 Given this was BAFTA’s first influencer campaign on TikTok, they took a leap of faith with our recommendation and the results have validated our approach. 🥇 Our brief was to drive conversation around the nominations, and our strategy was to make it easy for gamers to put their two pence in, by giving influencers on TikTok the freedom to agree/disagree/rant/rave over whether their favourite games were included. 🙌 The campaign performed above benchmarks for TikTok influencer content, with the average engagement rate at 5.17% and several creators’ content outperforming their own average views by 4x. 📲 Quite simply we made it really easy for people to join the conversation around something they’re hugely passionate about.
