Hundreds of people stood for hours lined up in the hot summer sun for the opportunity to purchase signed bottles and take photos with the celebrities. The Save Mart Companies (“TSMC”) recently hosted its 23rd annual CARES Foundation Charity Golf Tournament at Chardonnay Golf Club in Napa. At the event, CARES Foundation Chairperson and TSMC Senior Vice President, Chief HR Officer, Joan Dobias-Davis and TSMC Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Ali Sadiq, were presented with a $50,000 donation from C&S Wholesale Grocers. Thanks to the generosity of our supplier partners and C&S, together we raised over $355,000 to help build stronger communities through access to fresh food and supporting youth sports and community programs. It was a thrilling weekend in Sonoma at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Cup Series Race for The Save Mart Companies’ (“TSMC”) Associates and their families! Store Manager of the Year 2023, Robert Alton, had the honor of waving the green flag and Legacy Motor Club driver John Hunter Nemechek was behind the wheel of TSMC’s first sponsored NASCAR Cup car as it made its race debut – the No. 42 Toyota Camry XSE. Special guests Jimmie Johnson, a seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, and legendary NASCAR driver Richard Petty, both stopped by the hospitality suite to visit with TSMC Associates and their families and pose for a few photos. Of course, the weekend wouldn’t be complete without celebrating the hard work and dedication of each of our store leaders by gathering on the track for an annual photo.
