This trend is whether I’m working on the role or having conversations with companies. The market feels more challenging but there are industries and businesses growing! So there’s hope! Attended the Carbonauts' Sustainability Mocktails event at Manny’s in SF last night to learn more / meet more people and companies doing good and ESG (Environmental, Sustainability & Governance). Amazing people moving us forward in this ESG space! Met a Stanford grad who had quit her job yesterday to start a non profit helping Gen Z find jobs in AI & sustainability, met someone from a top 50 company pushing their company forward uncomfortably in ESG & the hurdles involved, plus listened to our speaker Eliza Nemser, PhD and founder of Climate Changemakers on what we can do. On March 6, 2024, the SEC adopted new rules requiring public companies to disclose detailed information on climate-related risks, goals, and greenhouse gas emissions that could significantly impact their business or financial statements, effective 60 days after the publication in the Federal Register. With my ESG campaign I launched on Earth Day, I am learning more each week on companies and what they are doing to move towards Net Zero.
