This is long but worth the read! 🥰 Today was a great day and a reminder why I do what I do. And why I love doing it! If you’ve ever wondered why I have been at my store for as long as I have, I can tell you it is the moments that I get to be apart of and experience with our customers everyday! Also with a positive mindset and attitude, you are what you make yourself to be. Our theme this year for Ornament Premiere was Snow White and the Dwarfs. And of course, me being me and loving to dress up and have fun, I was Snow White. Today a sweet little girl came up to me with stars in her eyes. She very sweetly and quietly asked me if she could give me a hug! I smiled and said, “Of course, Princess.” I gracefully knelt down and gave her a hug. I asked her what her name was and how old she was. She was 5 and stood so close to me just beaming. I smiled and asked her who her favorite princess was. She smiled and said, “Aurora.” I said, “Oh Aurora is wonderful.” She asked me, “Why does she sleep so much?” I said, “Because she’s a great princess and she works so hard so she needs her rest.” I exchanged glances with her mom who was just smiling at us. I asked her who her second favorite princess was and she said, “Just Aurora.” I said, “I love that! You’re dedicated to your number one!” It was such a sweet moment and she was in such awe. It did not matter that I was not Aurora or an “actual” Disney princess. You could tell that she did not know that at all and truly thought I was. In this moment, I was a real princess that she was meeting and I felt like one!! Where else, besides maybe Disney, can you do this. You are what you make yourself to be. I am lucky that I work in a store and for a company that is in the business of celebrating moments and occasions. I enjoy every moment of it and love it! Thank you, sweet princess, for making me feel special and for reminding me how rewarding my job truly is in just one moment! #LoveWhatYouDo #ThePaperStore

We're Hiring: Accounts Payable Associate The Paper Store is one of the fastest-growing family-owned and operated specialty gift businesses in the country. ✔ Perform three-way match of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts; process merchandise invoices for payment. ✔ Review and audit non-inventory expenses, ensuring appropriate documentation and GL coding. ✔ Route invoices to budget owners for approval using Vision 360 software. Audit and upload expense reports from Certify into Microsoft Great Plains. ✔ Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies, and verify changes to vendor banking data. Job Requirements: ✔ Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to deliver on detailed tasks independently and as part of a team. ✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions. ✔ Comfortable in a technology-heavy environment using multiple software platforms. ✔ 2+ years of accounts payable experience in a corporate retail environment preferred.
