Calling all baseball fans! Miller Sports + Entertainment is bringing Béisbol en Salt Lake to Smith’s Ballpark this fall. On Oct. 5-6, Béisbol en Salt Lake will host two top teams in La Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico for a two-day baseball series and activities for the community. The event, taking place during Hispanic Heritage Month, will be a rich celebration of baseball and Utah’s Hispanic and Latino communities. “The Larry H. Miller Company and Miller Sports + Entertainment are committed to supporting baseball at all levels,” said Ty Wardle, EVP of Miller Sports + Entertainment. “Béisbol en Salt Lake is another piece of that puzzle, and it’s going to be so much more than two days of baseball.” Weekend festivities include live music, vendors, food and a postgame drone show on Saturday, and an early afternoon game and on-field concert on Sunday. We believe in the power of sports and baseball to enrich communities, and we’d like to thank our community and government partners who will help this event come to life. The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation donated $1 million to Switchpoint’s Fairpark Deeply Affordable and Permanently Supportive Housing project on the west side of Salt Lake City. This contribution will support the completion of phase 2 of the Fairpark housing project, which focuses on critical improvements to 94 residential units and communal areas. Exciting news coming from Antelope Island State Park! This week marked a monumental milestone as the park broke ground for the expansion of the Antelope Island Learning Center, which includes a state-of-the-art theatre. The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation is proud to be a part of the new center as both a donor and community member.   The new learning center will be a pivotal resource in fostering education, conservation and community on Antelope Island for years to come.    "This center will bring many students, youth and individuals to come and experience the Great Salt Lake for the first time," said Julie Ramos, managing director of the Miller Family Foundation. Miller Company, was awarded the Pillar of the Valley award from the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce for her dedication to enriching the community.   A few of Gail’s most recent philanthropic, business and educational efforts in Utah Valley include her work with the new Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Campus in Lehi, the Larry H. Miller Company’s opening of a new, state-of-the-art assisted living facility – Aspen Ridge Residences of Lehi, and her family’s various partnerships with Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University.   Gail has been a pillar of the community and the Larry H. Miller Company, and we are grateful for her thoughtful approach to leadership and her dedication to enriching the lives of those around her. Congratulations, Gail!
