The Jared Box Project

I had a wonderful evening with the Centre County United Way Emerging Leaders United group creating Jared Boxes for kids to use while in the hospital! It was inspiring to learn more about The Jared Box Project, which started right here in State College, PA, and the growth and impact it has had on kids and families nationwide. It was a great evening to get creative, give back and enjoy some good conversation as well! Looking forward to our next CCUW ELU gathering.

The Jared Box Project at Doylestown Health. "Oh my goodness, I am so thankful for you! We had to rush our 3-year-old, Ford, to Doylestown Hospital when he fell and split his ear in 2 places. We left so quickly we didn’t bring anything. Ford and I ended up waiting for hours and your box is what saved him! He was so excited he could keep the entire box and couldn’t wait to show his siblings at home! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! I am not kidding when I say it was a life saver. Colt has received two Jared Boxes. He and his family know first hand how helpful a Jared Box can be at calming nerves during hospital visits. Fast forward, Jeanette Stackhouse and family set a goal of making 12 Jared Boxes. Today, they dropped off a stack of adorable Jared Boxes and exceeded their goal. I am excited to drop these boxes off today at Mount Nittany Health. Please note... these boxes are A++, Perfect toys. The puzzles and the book are available online at Target. Bravo and thanks to the Penn State University Alumni - Schuylkill County Chapter for your support of The Jared Box Project. Members delivered Jared Boxes to Geisinger- St.Luke’s in Orwigsburg. Administrators were so happy to receive these boxes to distribute to children while in the Emergency Room, Radiology or Surgery. In total, the chapter made 76 Jared Boxes for the children at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Schuylkill, and Geisinger St. Luke's.
