About us
The Family Resource Network (FRN) is dedicated to offering individuals and their families with continuing needs the greatest opportunities, resources and services to support a full and happy life. FRN is the largest provider of family support services to individuals with developmental disabilities in New Jersey. FRN is comprised of four affiliates: Autism Family Services of New Jersey, Caregivers of New Jersey, Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey and the Family Support Center of New Jersey. The organization was created in response to a growing recognition that people with disabilities and their families don't necessarily fit into one disability profile.

Why Amanda has a Seizure Action Plan for her son. Amanda has a seizure action plan for her son to ensure his safety during a seizure. This plan provides her peace of mind when sending him to school and helps educate his teachers on what his seizures look like and what to do in the event of a seizure emergency. Learn why having a plan is essential and how it can make a life-saving difference. Watch her story and get inspired to create your own plan with Epilepsy Alliance America. https://lnkd.in/gyvYeq_G ESNJ is the New Jersey Chapter of Epilepsy Alliance America. #SeizureActionPlan #EpilepsyAwareness #SeizureSafety #Epilepsy #EAA #ESNJ

June is Dravet Syndrome Awareness Month 💜 Dravet syndrome is much more than just seizures. It is a severe type of epilepsy that significantly affects brain development and overall health (known as developmental and epileptic encephalopathy, or DEE). This condition involves frequent, hard-to-treat seizures that typically begin within the first 2-15 months of life, often triggered by fever or warm temperatures. However, the impact of Dravet syndrome extends beyond seizures, affecting cognition, behavior, and motor skills. Join us as we collectively raise our voices with the Dravet Syndrome Foundation, observing June 23rd as International Dravet Syndrome Awareness Day. Epilepsy Services of New Jersey offers comprehensive support, personalized services, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by Dravet syndrome. Our programs include respite care, after-school care, employment, and recreation. Let us help you find the right resources and support. Visit epilepsyservicesnj.org for more information.
