Registration for our Summer Sowing Seeds Mentorship Series at The Black Girl Doctor is LIVE! Each month we invite trailblazing Black psychologists to speak with and pour into our mentees. They spill the tea on how they built (and continue to grow in) their careers and answer questions that most students think are too taboo to ask. For the last two years, we continue to receive more requests for mentorship than we can support in our program so we decided to open this series up to the public. We are hoping to reach Black women pursuing advanced degrees in psychology but this event is FREE and open to all students (both undergraduate and graduate) who want to learn from incredible Black psychologists. Our first summer speaker is Shawndell Clay, Psy.D. who will discuss building a career as a psychologist in the corporate and tech worlds. Students will learn about the growing need for psychologists specializing in Black mental health and supporting those impacted by burnout. She will also share her personal journey and offer insights on managing your own burnout in these fast-paced environments. Details and registration for the full summer series which also features Dr. Jacqueline Sherman and Natalie Watson-Singleton, PhD is at the link below. Please tag a 'Future Black Girl Doctor!' We are on a mission to make therapy at The Black Girl Doctor available to folks in every state in the US🎉 At the moment we are short by 10 states but I believe we can make this happen by the end of the year with your help. If you know any incredibly talented psychologists with a specialty in mental health treatment for professional Black women, who are licensed in Alaska, Hawaii, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, or Vermont, please tag them below. PS. We are hiring providers in other states too so feel free to tag a talented psychologist who fits the bill even if they aren't in one of those states! If this is YOU, come work with us! We work hard, play hard, and love on each other hard! #theblackgirldoctor #blackpsychology #hiring #psychologistjobs Job Posting: https://lnkd.in/ex4tcC83
