About us

The Alaska Community Foundation cultivates, celebrates and sustains all forms of philanthropy to strengthen Alaska's communities now and forever. Holding over $200 million for the benefits of Alaskans, we connect people who care with causes that matter by encouraging and nurturing philanthropy. We do this through building and managing permanent endowments, convening stakeholders and working with partners to strengthen Alaskan communities, and providing donors with grant options that are strategic to their philanthropic objectives.

Despite him being surrounded by the Alaskan wildlife, DJ is closely in touch with his Filipino roots. He is currently attending the University of Alaska Anchorage to earn his bachelor’s degree in business management. Prior to joining ACF, he served as an Auto Reconditioning Specialist for his car detailing business where he created meaningful relationships and was able to express his creativity when it came to digital marketing. • Do you recognize this BP Energy Center team member? This is Anne Marie Moylan, she is the Operations Manager. She grew up in Upstate New York, where winter blizzards and lake effect snowfalls were hearty preparation for handling all that mother nature delivered. As a young adult, she moved to New York City to aspire to an artist’s life as a dancer. After years where restaurant jobs paid the bills, she took a road trip/vacation that landed her in Homer, Alaska. Like many of those who only go to visit the enchanted Alaskan Hamlet by the sea, she decided to stay and make a home. There, she began a career as a development professional in public radio at KBBI. A move to Anchorage furthered her broadcasting opportunities at KSKA /KAKM and then several other nonprofit positions in development. In her role at the BP Energy Center, she now leads a team that runs the finest meeting space within the urban landscape of Anchorage, catering specifically to nonprofits and education groups under the auspices of The Alaska Community Foundation.

  • ACF is passionate about supporting nonprofit and tribal organizations in their fundraising endeavors, awareness campaigns, and community events. This April, we were delighted to be a sponsor of the Dressed To Kill (DTK) event in Cordova, put on by the Prince William Sound Economic Development District. "DTK was a huge success this year! The evening’s theme was Disco Cowgirl and all the women in attendance were dressed in all their fringe and rhinestones. We hosted two visiting female DJs and the dance floor was going from 7pm-2am. There were over 200 attendees and fun had by all. DTK is a very important event for women to show their creativity and spend quality time with the women of Cordova. The funds raised at DTK have been essential in starting the Mavis Island Project and operating summer day camps at Mavis Island.” – Gabrielle Brown
