Building a new tennis experience @Tennis Social AI 🎾
What the hell are you building at Tennis Social Club?
Tennis Wii 2.0? #VR? #AR? VR with AR? Tennis #Metaverse? This is for pickleball right?
How will it work?
Do you use a real racket? Will you sweat? How fast does the ball go? Who drinks and plays tennis? How big is this thing?
As we've been working towards building the worlds first tennis #simulator with a custom-trained, high-speed, #AI object classification system with precision tracking for both ball and human geared towards making #tennis more social and fun…….
I’ve fielded many questions.
I’ve concluded that "show" is much easier than "tell"
Hope you enjoy! SOUND ON 🔉
We’ve pulled inspiration from The Big Lebowski, Golden Eye, Lord of War and Pixar. Lets see if you can figure out which scenes 😅
…..and if you like it, join our mission to make tennis the most popular sport in the 🌍 and 👽 #NYC#Startup#Sports#technology#CompetitiveSocializing
After a failed attempt to play professional tennis, it’s been a dream to find a way back to the sport I love most.
Today we announce our Topgolf for tennis concept Tennis Social Club 🎾
It's exciting to be building this company while tennis and racquet sports as a whole are growing like crazy!
The US Open broke their attendance record again, with over 957,000 attendees over a 20-day span. The record-breaking didn’t stop there either, as this year’s Women’s final attracted over 3.4 million viewers on ESPN!
Top American players, like #CocoGauff, #BenShelton, and #FrancesTiafoe are helping push tennis into the mainstream.
Despite the unprecedented interest, the barrier to accessing the sport is still a harsh reality.
Tennis requires a lot of time, space, and money, similar to golf.
Topgolf and other concepts like Five Iron Golf have been successful in growing the sport by leveraging technology and a curated social experience.
Golf simulator technology makes it easier to access the sport no matter where you live and that market is projected to surpass $3.3 billion in revenue by 2030.
Similarly, the tennis simulators that we are developing at TSC will make the sport more accessible in dense city environments and fun for beginners to learn the sport while still scratching the itch of high-intensity players.
Our product will be the first tennis custom-trained, high-speed, #AI object classification system with precision tracking to ever hit the market 🥵
I was fortunate to start tennis at age 5, with my mother as my coach. She had this uncanny ability to make tennis fun by making up creative games to keep me engaged before I was good enough to rally with her!
So, from a very young age, I was able to learn that tennis can be one of the best investments of your time, as you can play it your entire life, but it needs to be introduced the right way.
Our goal with Tennis Social Club is to continue to grow the sport by lowering the barrier to entry with our technology and pairing that with the perfect clubhouse experience that promotes tennis being social and fun!
