I’m thrilled to share a new partnership between Lendio and FIS! FIS announced today its new SMB Digital Lending solution which leverages Lendio’s Intelligent Lending platform — a solution that is already live with several FIS clients. 84 percent of banks list small business lending as a high or critical problem to solve, and by combining FIS’s reach in the banking industry with Lendio’s instant decisioning solution, we will empower more banks to fund small business loans efficiently. Trent and I co-founded Lendio with a primary goal – make it easier for small businesses to get the funding they need to survive and thrive. Through Lendio’s marketplace, we’ve made huge strides toward this goal funding more than $15 billion in loans to small businesses across the country. But there’s more work to be done. Small businesses want a fast, digital way to access all types of financing, including the types of loans and rates only a bank can provide. •Intelligent Lending solves two core problems: 1. Speed: Traditional underwriting processes are timely and expensive. Intelligent Lending automates the process so a borrower can be approved within 15 seconds. 2. Qualification: Nearly 9 in 10 banks say transaction analysis is important compared to credit scores when evaluating a small business borrower. Intelligent lending uses transaction analysis to qualify loan applicants and prequalify existing depositors. This combined with third-party data checks creates a more accurate picture of outcomes reducing risk to the bank and expanding access to previously underserved groups. Together with FIS, we are creating a win-win situation for banks and small businesses, and we look forward to expanding our reach and impact through this partnership.
