Stefan Smulders is one of the most genuine founders I have had the chance to meet in the SaaS industry. At the Tekpon Awards last month, I had the chance to chat with him for almost an hour, and he gave me a true masterclass on how to build a multi-million dollar company ($9 million ARR, to be specific). The biggest takeaway from my discussion with him was: “We had a great product, we hit product-market fit very fast, but we wouldn’t have been able to grow the company without the right culture. We were, and still are, obsessed with getting the right people on our team, and we do everything in our power to cultivate the right culture.” Stefan, thank you for your transparency, kindness, and desire to help others!
