Tectonic has continued to celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month throughout May 2024; we are excited to continue to highlight our AANHPI employees who are integral parts of our teams and have helped Tectonic thrive in our industry. Meet Jimmy Nonaillada, a Resident Engineer who has been working for Tectonic Engineering on high-profile projects with the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) for nearly 15 years. Jimmy moved to the United States from the Philippines over 30 years ago and has fulfilled his childhood dream of working on engineering projects. Jimmy is often most excited when he is physically out in the field watching a project develop into a bridge or a roadway. He prides himself on taking ownership of his role on every project he works on, and always strives to improve for the next one. This is just one of the many reasons we are grateful to have Jimmy on our team! #AANHPI #PacificIslander #AsianAmerican #NativeHawaiian #AANHPIHeritageMonth #CivilEngineering #Transportation #WHIAANHPI

Please join us in celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month! With the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI) and the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center’s theme for 2024 being “Bridging Histories, Shaping Our Future,” we are excited to highlight our AANHPI employees who are integral parts of our teams and have helped Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, D.P.C. thrive in our industry. Meet Man Hou Sit, P.E., a Project Manager working with our office in Glastonbury, CT. Growing up in Macau, China, Man would watch as local bridges were developed on his bus ride to school each morning and was inspired to pursue engineering! Currently working on several bridge design and construction engineering projects with the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), Man has advanced his career with Tectonic, starting as a Staff Engineer to now leading multiple projects. While spearheading the Upper Collinsville Dam project, his perseverance and strong leadership helped Tectonic Engineering receive the ACEC NY Engineering Excellence 2023 Diamond Award, as well as the ACEC Engineering Excellence National Recognition Award. We can’t wait to see what else Man achieves! #AANHPI #AANHPIHeritageMonth #AsianAmerican #NativeHawaiian #PacificIslander #Engineering #Transportation #ACEC #WHIAANHPI
