"Employee growth is not unlike plant growth in that the result is dependent primarily on environmental factors rather than genetic make-up," said Neal Glatt in an article for # TheTurfZone. "Unfortunately, managers rarely audit their environment for employee growth potential, and even fewer have clear ideas about the factors that would make a strong growth environment." Webinar: July 10th at 12 noon EST This week I will be holding a free webinar (sponsored by Team Engine) on the topic of improving your commission, bonus, profit sharing and incentive plans. We will cover common challenges with these plans, and how to either prevent them or address them head on. Sign up here: https://lnkd.in/gCcp-uMK 💥 Webinar Description: Commission plans, profit sharing, bonus plans, and other incentives often backfire, leading to a demotivated work environment and under performance by your team. Even when they work initially, circumstances change and suddenly you get grumbling, under performance, and other problems surface on the team. Or you set up an incentive system and it actually dis-incentivizes your people. In this webinar I will review the common problems and how to avoid and overcome them. Come with your questions, as we will have Q/A at the end of the webinar. 🔗 Sign up here: https://lnkd.in/gCcp-uMK

In a recent article on "cooling off" inside the "candidate resentment heat dome," ERE offers the following proven practices to make improvements to #CandidateResentment: 1️⃣ — Structured Interviews and Next Steps Companies who have structured a consistent process and set of questions across job types help reduce bias, improve selection, and improve the candidate experience. 2️⃣ — Finalist Feedback Increases Willingness to Refer Candidates’ willingness to refer others was 100+% higher when they were provided with information on their job fit and candidacy status at the end of the interview day and/or when asked to provide feedback on their experience. 3️⃣ — Interview to Offer Time If employers make the offer within one week of the final interview, the candidates’ willingness to refer others increased 119%. 4️⃣ — Pre-boarding Engagement and Nurturing The more nurturing and engagement that occurs before their start date, the greater the opportunity to improve new hire retention from the beginning.
