A fueling facility in Tanknology’s Northeast region requested a TankCam inspection of a 8,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded. The TankCam inspection showed sludge, sediment and debris on the bottom of the tank. Residue is also visible along the side walls of the tank. Liquid drips are seen coming from the tank top and a possible crack is found along the side wall of the tank. Several of the cracks exhibited moisture staining around them, indicating a possible water ingress. The tank held diesel. The customer also requested a TankClean Remote Video UST Cleaning. The TankCam inspection revealed a considerable amount of sludge built on the bottom and sides of the tank. After the TankClean Remote Video UST Cleaning, the TankCam shows that the sludge had been removed and the tank was clean. The tank was was later placed back into service.
