TAMID interns and Alumni Mission participants had a chance to experience the annual startup pitch this week. Three startups from Israeli accelerator ClimateLaunchpad Israel gave their pitch to our members and Tomar Golan from RUNI Ventures. Thank you to David Suter from Fast Sense, Ophira Melamed from NitroFix and Yaron Virtzer from Nano Water Purification Technology Ltd. for sharing your pitches with us and answering everyone's questions! And a special thanks to our partners at ClimateLaunchpad ISRAEL Ran Sasson and Elyashiv Minerbi. This event would not have been possible without your continued partnership. We are inspired by these founders and excited for the future of technology. #tamidinisrael #tamidgroup

On Sunday, 30 students representing 20 TAMID chapters, plus an additional 20 alumni joined us in East Village for the NYC Summer Summit. The afternoon kicked off with a panel of Israeli tech entrepreneurs who spoke about their career journeys and their perspectives on the ever-changing world of tech. Our Board Chair and Michigan Alum, Max Heller, also spoke about his career journey and how, as one of TAMID’s first leaders, the organization has greatly impacted his life. Students and alumni were engaged throughout the afternoon asking panelists questions and connecting after the sessions. The summit concluded with a Student x Alumni networking dinner where everyone had a chance to connect. Thank you to all our panelists and attendees for making this a successful summit!

The Alumni Mission to Israel 2024 has officially kicked off! We are excited to have 10 incredible TAMID Alumni who came back to Israel to connect, network, and be inspired by everything the Israeli startup ecosystem has to offer. Yesterday participants got an update from Startup Nation Central on the current state of the startup scene in Tel Aviv, were moved by the recent projects from Generative AI for Good, and inspired by the woman behind the iconic posters featuring those kidnapped on Oct. 7 from Giraff - Creating Brands. Thank you so much Gary Soleiman, Shiran Mlamdovsky Somech, and Tal Huber for connecting with our alumni and sharing your stories. It was an incredible first day!

Preparing companies around the world to raise capital | Founder & CEO @ LionRun Consulting

If you haven’t been following Andrew Jacobson journey building ADJ Strategies and all the valuable content he posts, well you should now! Catching up and reflecting on the the early days of both LionRun Consulting and ADJ Strategies reminded me of one of the valuable perspective shifts I experienced when I began building my own company (and many others also experience)- Shifting away from feeling like I had to be an expert at every “technical” skill (ie. excel, coding, design) and focusing on mastering intangible soft skills including communication, relationship building, team management, organization, leadership, etc. The technical skills provide a foundation, but it’s the intangible soft skills that distinguish an analyst from a CEO. Curious what perspective shifts others have experienced while building their company? Comment below👇👇

Last night we hosted a Pivot Panel, an inspiring evening with four company partners sharing their post-October 7 pivot strategies with our enthusiastic Fellows. Engaged discussions, insightful questions, and lively conversations made the night truly memorable. Thank you PwC Israel for hosting us in your beautiful space. This event would not have been possible without our incredible speakers from Enfluence, Mind Guard | שומר שגרה, Sarona Ventures, and Startup Nation Central who shared their stories and answered questions from Fellows. We are so grateful that you are part of the TAMID community! This week half of our TAMID Fellows visited the city of Ramla, a mixed city in Israel's central region. Fellows got a chance to visit an ancient active mosque, the White Tower, the Pool of the Arches and The Mediation Center- a forum that brings together 13 interests groups to focus on recognition of each other, crisis management and shared society. Fellows had a glimpse into the complexities of Israeli society and how one city has built true resilience by working together through community efforts.
