🤑 One in three Americans think they have a way to strike it rich. 33% say they feel they have a tantalizing idea they think could make waves in the market. And men are significantly more likely to feel confident about it than women. Our poll found: • A quarter of those with a big idea think they’ve thought of a game-changing product that’s not been done before. • From energy-creating mushrooms to a new type of burger or fresh ideas using AI to blow away the competition • A new type of ceiling fan, ideas for a new social media platform or plans to launch an irresistible food truck were also among the concepts Not everyone has faith that fortune will come their way. 39% say they’ll need some sort of luck or financial windfall in order to be comfortable later in life. Our recent research for Forter reveals the rising cost of living is driving consumers to change their online shopping habits, pushing retailers to adapt. 61% said they have changed how & where they shop online due to higher prices 55% of consumers noted that they shop “less often” 22% said they only buy products when the retailer offers a discount or coupons Consumers are also looking for perks and varied payment options.. “The cost-of-living increase means that consumers are fundamentally altering their online shopping habits,” says Doriel Abrahams, principal technologist, Forter. “Brands that want to maintain customer loyalty and value in this macro environment must evolve, too. Our recent research for Merritt Group revealed some fascinating insights into the use of Artificial Intelligence within B2B organizations. In the online study with 200 senior-level technology decision makers in the U.S., over 90% of respondents said their organizations will use AI more frequently this year than last year. The research also found that nearly 25% of IT decision-makers feel AI investments fail to deliver value within their organization. According to Google Trends, the most searched election debate cycles since 2004 have been Obama v Romney (2012) followed by Trump v Clinton (2016). Will this year’s Biden v Trump election season garner even more interest? In our recent poll three in five respondents (61%) said they will tune in to tonight’s first presidential debate of the 2024 election. What will cut through with audiences? ◼️The rising cost of living, inflation and immigration are the top three topics Americans want the candidates to debate. ◼️ Democrats and Republicans are at odds over which topics are most important to them. ◼️ Just 18% of Democrats indicated that immigration is important to them, compared to 51% of Republicans. ◼️ 45% of Democrats say abortion and healthcare access are important v 15% of Republicans. ◼️Democrats are more interested in climate change than Republicans (29% vs just 7%).
