    At Talent Suite, we’re big believers in the importance of behavioral analytics, which help make workplace behaviors objective. But sometimes, clients — or even just colleagues — don’t see how they can make that behavioral data actionable. Often, they’ve used it for a moment, or just at the beginning of the hiring process, and have put it away. In that situation, of course it’s tough to make that data actionable. Making this data actionable is about committing to it and allowing it to inform your goals and actions. Here are three major red flags we see that prevent people from fully utilizing this data: 🚩 No transparency: If the data you’ve gathered stays with the leadership team, who doesn’t have the time or desire to share and implement it, it will never be able to make an impact. 🚩 No accountability: The benefits of behavioral analytics won’t be fully realized if an organization doesn’t commit to implementing them. This data isn’t just a one-off for hiring, it should be used for decisions, putting the right people in the right seats and retaining talent. 🚩 No planning: If you go into the process of implementing behavioral analytics without a plan for what you’ll use them for, it’s likely a waste. We help clients leverage this data to better reach their goals, understanding what they want to do and how they want to improve.     A recent Harvard Business Review piece really highlights something important that we work with our clients on. It’s easy to think that interviewing potential employees is all about that instant connection — the “click.” But have you considered why you click with some people and not others? Research shows that implicit bias drastically shapes hiring. It’s easier for us to connect with candidates who have similar backgrounds, credentials or perspectives to our own. But those similarities don’t make them the best candidate, and basing hiring decisions around them doesn’t lead to diverse teams.
