The programmable internal tooling platform for developers.

About us

Superblocks is a low-code platform to build enterprise-ready internal apps more quickly and cost-efficiently than custom development. Developers can simply drag and drop components to craft their app UI, connect to production databases and APIs to build backend logic visually, and extend infinitely with SQL, JavaScript, and Python. With Superblocks, businesses ship enterprise-ready internal apps in 1/10th of the time at 1/10th of the cost.

When you're leading at a data-driven company, it’s clear that frequent reporting is crucial for staying agile and keeping your business on track. At Housefolios, we've been using Superblocks to deliver customized, high-quality reports to our numerous stakeholders on a monthly or even weekly basis. Previously, our engineers spent hours each week building these reports inside of our apps, making last-minute requests nearly impossible to fulfill. Now, anyone from software engineers to admins can create reports, and it only takes hours. With low-code, we've transformed a critical business operation that used to consume our engineering resources into a collaborative effort for the entire team. This not only saves time but also encourages everyone to contribute ideas and learn from the process. Superblocks gives me great security and leverage as an engineering leader, and I highly recommend this tool to anyone who wants to empower their teams with the time and energy needed to create better customer experiences. #superblocks

    Co-Founder & CEO at Superblocks

This week, Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy gave the opening keynote at the Snowflake Data Summit 2024 in San Francisco featuring Jensen Huang. They shared a vision for “The era of enterprise AI”. 3 Takeaways 1) Snowflake announced a partnership where NVIDIA software will be able to be run in Snowflake environments. As Jensen said "bringing the best computing power to your data, instead of transferring your data to our compute engines". This will work in tandem with Snowflake's Arctic LLMs. 2) As data grows increasingly complex, keeping AI tools simple becomes more and more paramount to ensure rapid enterprise adoption. Launches like Snowflake Cortex AI Analyst, enable business users to interact with structured data using natural language to find answers faster, self-serve insights and save time. 3) The number of AI use cases is large and seem to be highly industry specific in the enterprise across both internal applications and customer facing experiences. Anu Jain, Global Head of Enterprise Data at J.P. Morgan is using AI to inform to give their frontline teams the tools to anticipate what products their customers are likely to need next. Caitlin Halferty, Global CDO at Ericsson is using AI to model sites their team would work on and determine hazards, costs, and how many workers to send. Thomas Davey, CDO at Booking.com is using AI to reinvent the booking journey with intelligent AI suggestions and itineraries for customers based on hyper-personalization.

Excited to see that G2 has officially revamped its Low-Code Development Platform category -> https://lnkd.in/eH5xd4BU! Over the past month, Brad Menezes, Cheryl Wolf, and I have partnered with Adam Crivello of the G2 team to help redefine this category so it’s most relevant for buyers looking for a solution in our space. The category now has clear inclusion criteria that match what we hear from speaking to hundreds of customers and prospects looking for a solution in our space: ✅ Be designed for use by developers and other technical and semi-technical teams ✅ Offer a visual UI builder ✅ Integrate with production databases and software as a service (SaaS) providers ✅ Allow developers to write custom frontend and backend code using modern programming languages ✅ Support git-based source or version control by connecting to git providers ✅ Offer out-of-the-box audit logging and observability The low-code space has evolved significantly over the past decade, making it difficult for software aggregation platforms like G2 to keep up. When we first started working with the G2 team at Superblocks, we quickly realized that this category wasn’t specific enough - it included products with one-off low-code or no-code features, rather than focusing on true development platforms intended for building complex custom business software. Businesses evaluating low-code development platforms like Superblocks are searching for a platform that enables engineering and other technical teams to build custom, full-stack business applications more efficiently than DIY development. As the world’s largest and most trusted software marketplace, it’s critical that G2’s categories map to what buyers are looking for. Based on these changes, G2 has cut the number of vendors in this category from 290->82, a >70% reduction in the category size. A smaller category with tighter inclusion criteria means a better experience for G2 users, and a higher likelihood that buyers can identify the right platform for them. Congrats to Adam Crivello and the G2 team on this milestone!

⭐ Meet Kris Harbold: One of our talented Product Managers working out of our NYC HQ here at Superblocks! ⭐ 🐨 What do you work on here at Superblocks? As Superblocks' Platform Product Manager, I oversee all of Superblocks' platform features like Authentication, RBAC, Audit Logs, and Analytics, as well as our code execution engine and Integration platform. Most recently, I've led our team to deliver features like Embedded Apps, Source Control, an expanded integration platform, and more, demonstrating my commitment to driving our platform's growth and success. 🐨 What is the purpose of the Product team? The Product team at Superblocks serves the critical role of defining and executing Superblocks' product strategy. We work with customers, prospects, partners, and the rest of the Superblocks team to identify product improvements, as well as direct Superblocks' design and engineering teams to execute on our product roadmap. Members of the Product team @ Superblocks can be found doing anything from brainstorming features, conducting user tests, troubleshooting issues alongside users, writing documentation, and more, all with the focus of delivering the best product possible for developers to rapidly build apps in Superblocks. 🐨 What were you working on before joining Superblocks? Before joining Superblocks, I was a Senior Product Manager at Electric, where I spearheaded their Integration & Automation platform. Prior to that, I worked as a full-stack engineer, technical lead, and Enterprise PM at Chartbeat. 🐨 What keeps you here at Superblocks? I'm excited to work on Superblocks because of the potential I see in the product and the collaborative way we work with users. In previous roles, I saw internal tooling deprioritized due to engineering bandwidth. This would delay roadmaps as engineers fulfilled one-off customer requests. Superblocks makes it so PMs, Ops, Support, and more can create powerful internal tools themselves to accelerate operations and service customers better. As a Product team, we collaborate directly with users to evolve the product. I love that each day I get to talk to users 1:1, doing everything from brainstorming, reviewing designs, and building apps together, so I feel confident that the features we build will make the platform more extensible, powerful, and easy to use for all developers. 🐨 Favorite Hobby outside of work? When not working on product at Superblocks, you can find me cycling or running in and around NYC and playing board games with friends.

    Engineering Lead at Superblocks

Layouts are live in Superblocks! Adding Flexbox-like responsiveness to a drag-and-drop app builder without adding additional overhead complexity was quite a challenge, but one I was excited to tackle with the team. Especially since we’d be one of the first low-code platforms to do it! We learned a lot in the past several months working on this feature - you can read more about our takeaways from this project in our engineering blog.
