The University of Texas at El Paso's Advanced Manufacturing and Aerospace Center takes architectural inspiration from the Kingdom of Bhutan’s fortresses known as “dzongs." When complete, this new addition will blend seamlessly with the rest of the buildings on the UTEP campus with their sloping ochre roofs, high inset windows and colored tile motifs. The new space will allow UTEP to welcome more than 600 graduate and undergraduate students annually and engage them in advanced manufacturing and aerospace research, as well as connect them to a network of peers, mentors and career opportunities. #elpaso #UTEP

Meet our next intern turned full-time employee-owner! Alejandra S. Gamez Corral is a recent graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) where she earned a Master of Science in Construction Management. Alejandra began with Sundt as an engineering intern with our building team, and now serves as a field engineer on UTEP's Texas Western Hall. She shared some thoughts on how her internship prepared her to enter her new role: "My internship provided me the opportunity to fully immerse myself in my role, work with different teams and communicate with the client and subcontractors. The most impactful thing I learned, however, is about Sundt's safety program, Stop the STCKY. Now every time I step out into the field, I’m on the lookout for Sh*t that can kill you (STCKY). At Sundt, I have found valuable guidance from Joseph Riccillo, Bob Aniol and Enrique Espalin, who helped me to complete my internship successfully and continue to help me achieve my career goals." Way to go, Alejandra! We're so happy you're here. Check out our available openings: https://bit.ly/3KO84AX #internship #opportunity #nowhiring
