A key component of one of our District goals is to support mental health, wellness, and social-emotional learning (SEL) within our climate, operations, curricula, and programs. This year, Summit Public Schools was thrilled to launch the inaugural Summit Wellness Symposium, a groundbreaking event aimed at fostering community engagement and awareness around the critical issue of mental health and wellness for K-12 students. Every year, our Technology Coaches put their heart and soul into organizing and hosting Summit's Technology Conference, and this year was no exception! The theme of the conference was Artificial Intelligence. Educators learned from each other on different AI tools they can use in the classroom and in their every day professional life with lessons plans, emails, and more! The guest speaker shared different tips and resources for educators using AI, there was an "AI or Real?" photo wall, and of course...a wheel of swag!

In our most recent afternoon of professional development, teachers and staff collaborated on analyzing mid-year diagnostic outcomes and identifying growth from action plans from the beginning of the year to mid-year. There were also training opportunities with behaviorists and department-level meetings at the middle and high school level. Thank you to our staff members who led training sessions and to our guest speakers for joining us!
