We proudly joined Macomb County Government officials last Friday for a ‘wall breaking’ ceremony, marking the beginning of the demolition of an old jail section to make way for the future Central Intake and Assessment Center (CIAC). This modern facility will replace the county’s outdated jail structure and serve as a national model for public safety. “This is more than a jail,” said County Executive Mark Hackel. “It’s an opportunity to address some of the root causes of crime and recidivism, and it’s a chance to take a mindful approach to mental health.” Sheriff Tony wickersham expressed his gratitude to the STV team, including David Miles Ziskind, Hugh D. Lester, PhDc and Jung Moo Lee, for their outstanding design work on the new facility. STV is proud to partner with Macomb County and PARTNERS in Architecture, PLC on this transformative project. Congratulations to everyone involved for their hard work and dedication in reaching this milestone! Learn more about this project here: https://lnkd.in/en8aeRnJ
