First steps are hard. They require careful planning, calculated risk, and most of all, courage. We took a daring first step earlier this month with the completion of TA-1’s first powered flight, reaching high supersonic speeds approaching Mach 5. The flight was a landmark moment on our path to providing our customers and nation a reusable and routine hypersonic test capability. Congratulations to the Stratolaunch team and our partners on this achievement! Stay tuned on our progress as we prepare to fly our first fully reusable Talon-A vehicle, TA-2, later this year. #hypersonic #firstflight #LetsRoc

The Stratolaunch integrated air-launch system stands out for its unique ability to offer a reusable, cost-effective solution for hypersonic flight testing. The customizable Talon-A vehicles are tailored to meet specific customer data requirements, granting affordable and frequent testing access while returning the technologies to the original developers. Applying proven and dependable technologies in the design minimizes payload risks and increases data collection success. Stratolaunch extends its appreciation to Representatives Vince Fong and Kevin Mullin for their proposed amendment to the NASA Reauthorization Act of 2024, establishing the Making Advancements in Commercial Hypersonics (MACH) Program at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The MACH Program will improve research and development of hypersonic technologies by supporting high-speed flights, including local efforts occurring within Eastern Kern County. This week Congressman Fong met with our president and CEO, Dr. Zachary Krevor to discuss the amendment and critical test and evaluation work happening at Stratolaunch. “Working together with NASA and the Department of Defense is critical for both commercial and defense applications of hypersonic technologies. Stratolaunch is diligently committed to serving this important initiative,” Dr. Krevor said. Today Roc continues its envelope expansion series, marking the 17th flight of the launch platform. While utilizing this flight series to increase the aircraft’s performance capabilities, we also take every opportunity to train new team members and increase the overall proficiency of our mission operations team. For this morning’s checks and engine starts our newest member of the flight ops team, Adam Francki (left), took to the right-side pilot seat to gain familiarity with pre-flight processes and checklists as part of his training to pilot future sorties. #LetsRoc #FlightTest
