Climate change isn’t new, but it’s certainly getting old. Here at Stonyfield, we’re working hard to create a better tomorrow by fighting climate change today. In fact, we’ve set aggressive goals for ourselves in order to make a powerful impact: 🌎 Endeavor to have all packaging be entirely made of recycled content or bio-based content by 2030 🌎 30% reduction in our carbon emissions by 2030 🌎 100% renewable electricity for our dairy supply chain by 2025 🌎 Carbon positive dairy supply chain by 2030 🌎 100% renewable electricity for our Londonderry, NH, manufacturing facility by 2025 by supporting the construction/operation of seven solar arrays and purchasing of RECs (achieved!) There will be even more to love about our convenient, resealable pouches after we finish making earth-friendly updates! Here's our current journey 👇 🌎 Over the next two years, we're reducing the weight of our caps by 17%, which will reduce plastic waste by 40 tons per year. 🌎 We have moved to a single material pouch for our YoBaby pouches to reduce an additional 4 tons of plastic. At Stonyfield, healthy people and a healthy planet have been core to our mission since we were founded in 1983. As part of that, we're working to make sure that both our workplace and our communities are welcoming and inclusive for everyone. Recently, we sent a letter to our New Hampshire legislators and governor, along with @New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility and several hundred local businesses, to encourage them to keep our state inclusive and welcoming to all. And, we’re proud to sponsor local pride events through our local community marketing events sponsorships and product donations. We believe love has no boundaries, love is love.

This #FathersDay, we're celebrating dads everywhere, especially those who share the values that make Stonyfield what it is with their families. Some have done it for generations, like the Clark family. As longtime employees, Jeff Sr. and Jeff Jr. (pictured above) help us share our family-first yogurt with the world and, in turn, help us work toward a healthier future for all, including littles like Cam (Jeff Jr.'s son). We’ve been working for you, your family, and our planet since 1983. The thought and passion that started Stonyfield Organic has only grown stronger, and we’ve never stopped working for healthy food, healthy people, and a healthy planet. Happy Father's Day from our family to yours.

Last week, members of our Sustainability Team - Britt Lundgren and Dana Bourne - traveled to Washington, DC to represent Stonyfield at the Organic Trade Association Organic Week. This annual event gathers organic farmers, researchers, food businesses, and policymakers to celebrate the organic sector's growth, identify research and policy priorities, and dig deeper into critical issues — from organic integrity to sustainability. Britt led a great panel on the Farm Bill's importance for the organic sector. On the last day, OTA members headed to Capitol Hill to advocate for organic priorities in the bill. Britt and Dana spoke with 11 House and Senate members about the importance of supporting organic research, market development, organic integrity, and improving organic dairy data collection. We're so grateful to have been a part of this event 💚 It was truly inspiring to hear from likeminded organic voices in the industry, and see how we are all working to positively impact people, the planet, and business. Let's continue this momentum and keep striving for healthy people and a healthy planet! #GoodOnPurpose #Stonyfield #Organic #OrganicWeek #OrganicWeekDC

Girls just wanna have fun 🐮 Especially the ladies on Molly Brook Farm ! Today we're celebrating #PastureDay - the first day after a long winter that cows begin grazing on fresh grass again 💚 #OrganicFamilyFarms #OrganicDairyFarms 💡 Fun Fact: Cows living on organic dairy farms are required to be out on pasture as much as weather allows, and graze for least 120 days per year. That's a lot of time and space to just be cows. See the other USDA requirements for organic dairy farms and ways Stonyfield supports these caring farmers here: https://bit.ly/3X7MUoP

Happy Earth Day 🌎 Eating organic isn’t just good for you and your family, it’s also good for the planet. One of the main goals of organic farming practices is to avoid contaminating our precious soil, rivers, drinking water, and air with toxic persistent chemicals. In fact, organic standards prohibit the use of toxic, persistent pesticides. ☁ Organic farms emit 18% less global warming-causing gases than conventional farming 🌱 Organic soils store 44% more stable sequestered carbon 🐮 Organic practices increase the overall abundance of plant and animal species by 30% We 💚 our planet and we’re on a mission to help protect it with organic agriculture. From supporting small family farms to helping agriculture become a climate change solution with OpenTEAM to participating in the science-based target initiative, we’re always looking for a better way to make food for healthy people and a healthy planet.
