As we celebrate our nation's 248th birthday, President Cooper, the Parish Council and all of us at St. Tammany Parish Government wish you a happy Independence Day weekend! 🇺🇸

President Mike Cooper declared ‘Karen Waldrup Day’ in St. Tammany Parish after her remarkable performance on NBC’s The Voice! Councilmen Pat Burke and Jimmy Strickland presented the honor at the Slidell Heritage Fest.

St. Tammany Parish Government offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4 & Friday, July 5, in celebration of Independence Day. Business hours will resume on Monday, July 8, at 8 a.m.

Meet our Department of Grants. Grants manages and secures funding for many of St. Tammany Parish Government’s programs, projects and various initiatives. The department also manages the STAR Transit System, Home Elevation Program, Community Development Block Grants, and works with the St. Tammany Commission on Cultural Affairs, among many other programs. President Cooper's administration and the Commission on Cultural Affairs host the annual President’s Arts Awards, honoring the artistic achievements of individuals throughout our parish.

Meet our Department of Finance! Finance is responsible for accounting and budgeting of parish funds, among many other duties. For 20 consecutive years, our Finance team has been recognized for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association!
