We continue to broaden our reach by developing new locations and upgrading existing facilities, providing some of the most technologically advanced facilities in the world. We partner to move commerce with efficiency, flexibility, and integrity. With operations across five continents and a vast network of interconnected transportation solutions, we open new opportunities that accelerate the growth and pace of global business. Improving the customer experience is at the heart of everything we do, so we make purposeful investments in people, facilities and technical innovations that deliver the greatest customer value.

President & Chief Executive Officer. Vancouver Fraser Port Authority I

With over 329 cruise ship visits currently scheduled for the award-winning Canada Place cruise terminal at the Port of Vancouver, we’re expecting this year’s cruise season to be record-breaking. The Vancouver cruise industry injects an average of almost $3 million into the local economy for each ship visit, supports nearly 7,000 jobs across Canada and $300 million in wages, and contributes $840 million to Canada’s GDP.    We look forward to working alongside our cruise line and industry partners to ensure another successful season. This includes cruise lines, Canada Place cruise terminal operator SSA Marine, the International Longshore Warehouse Union, and our partners at Canada Border Services Agency | Agence des services frontaliers du Canada and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

We’re pleased to share that SSA Marine has joined the Zero Emission Port Alliance (ZEPA), along with 10 other organizations from across the container port industry. SSA Marine has long been a leader in the testing and deployment of low and zero emission technologies, and we’re pleased to join fellow ZEPA members in helping to accelerate the adoption of Battery-Electric Container Handling Equipment (BE-CHE), while ultimately aiding port decarbonization efforts. "At SSA Marine, we are very proud to be a founding member of ZEPA,” said Nicolas GAUTHIER, President of the Global Container Division at SSA Marine. “Building on SSA’s longstanding experience in deploying zero emissions equipment globally, the formation of ZEPA will provide affordable and accessible electric solutions for our industry and accelerate the journey to carbon neutrality." #global #shipping #ports #containers #decarbonization #electrification #battery #ZEPA
