Imagine the thousands you could save on home repairs. If you had the know-how to fix everything yourself! Picture this: you've got a leaky faucet. Instead of calling a plumber, you grab your tools and fix it yourself. 💪 Or maybe your drywall has seen better days. Instead of hiring a contractor, you patch it up yourself. Think about the money you'd save if you could paint your own house, install an outlet, tile your bathroom, or even repair a roof leak. And it's not just about the money. It's about the satisfaction of a job well done. It's about the confidence that comes from knowing you can tackle any problem your house throws at you. But how do you get there? Trade school. By dedicating time to learning a trade. You gain the skills and confidence to handle home repairs independently. As the skilled trade gap widens, it's more important than ever for men and women to enter the trades. Not only does it provide great career opportunities, but it also gives you the satisfaction of a job well done. 👍✨ So, what are you waiting for? Start learning today and save thousands on home repairs tomorrow. Remember, knowledge isn't just power. It's also savings. #skilledtrades #jointhetrades #bluecollar #STAC --------------------- ↗ Hey, I'm Andrew. SkillsUSA Championships is producing top tradespeople. I just found the most talented men and women in the trades. I saw them first hand at the SkillsUSA Championships. This event is the premier showcase of America’s most highly skilled career and technical education students. It's not just a competition. It's one of the largest hands-on workforce development events in the world. 😮 Every June, the SkillsUSA’s National Leadership & Skills Conference is held. Alongside it, the SkillsUSA Championships take place. Imagine this: more than 6,000 state champions from across the United States. All competing head-to-head in 115 skilled and leadership competitions. The venue? The Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Covering over 1.79 million square feet of floor space. That's the equivalent of 31 football fields! 🏈 I certainly got my steps in! The philosophy of the SkillsUSA Championships is simple.  →Reward students for excellence. → Involve industry in directly evaluating student performance. → Keep classroom training relevant to employers’ needs. 👏 Who creates, oversees, and judges the competitions? Nearly 2,000 industry volunteers. All committed to building the future generation of skilled professionals, career-ready leaders, and responsible community members. The SkillsUSA Championships is the national culmination of a year-long process. It starts in local SkillsUSA chapters across the country. Local winners advance to district or regional competitions. They test their skills against competitors from other schools. Those winners advance to state competitions each spring. State gold medalists earn the right to compete nationally at the SkillsUSA Championships each June. Competitors may earn gold, silver, and bronze medallions. They may earn scholarships, tools of the trade, and even job offers right off the competition floor. But perhaps most importantly, they earn confidence. The confidence that can only come when you know you’re among the best of the best in what you do. 💪 So, if you’re wondering about the future of the skilled trades. It’s in good, highly skilled hands. And the SkillsUSA Championships is proof of that. Interested in joining the trades DM me lets talk! #skilledtrades #jointhetrades #bluecollar #skillsusa ↗ Hey, I'm Andrew I post every day at 8am est. ↗ I'm a skilled trades advocate. ↗ Join the trades movement: https://lnkd.in/eSqJzG9j ↗ Join the movement Follow me Andrew Brown

What an honor to be invited to serve on the 2025 Plastics Hall of Fame committee! Thank you Maureen Steinwall, PhD Steinwall, PhD, for this incredible opportunity. I am deeply honored to be part of such a prestigious initiative. Paying homage to those innovative thinkers who have lent their expertise to the advancements of the plastics industry is the ultimate opportunity one can hope for. The previous inductees, including giants in the world of plastics like Canadian Entrepreneurs Jobst Gellert, who founded Mold-Masters Limited in 1963, and Robert Schad, who founded Husky Technologies in 1953, continue to be powerhouses in their respective areas of expertise. I am both thrilled and excited to contribute to recognizing and celebrating the contributions of such remarkable individuals. Looking forward to a rewarding journey ahead on the committee. #PlasticsHallOfFame #Innovation #IndustryLeadership

Companies that are involved in the plastics sector are finally getting noticed....and for all the right reasons. Businesses involved in plastics are equally concerned, if not more, about the environmental impact of their product/s as it relates to circularity , sustainability and societal issues. They have been, and continue to work relentlessly, to ensure the products they manufacture have a positive impact. The results and innovations that exist right here in our very own backyard yard are being witnessed and conveyed to the powers that be. Jag Badwal, our Ontario agent, based in Dallas, attended the largest plastics conference, NPE: The Plastics Show and gained invaluable insights into the impact and contributions of Canada based injection mold machine manufacturer, Husky Technologies . NPE provided a comprehensive understanding of how industry leaders, like Husky, are shaping the future of the plastics sector. In a dedicated follow-up effort, Jag, visited Husky's Bolton facility a couple of months later. This hands-on approach allowed for a deeper dive into the innovative initiatives and sustainability efforts being undertaken. It's important that people like Jag see firsthand the commitment to innovation and collaboration within our industry. Ultimately working towards a circular economy. Together, we are driving progress and fostering a more sustainable future for plastics in Canada. 🌍 Thank you Tania Ferlin for the invitation and sharing your passion for all things positive in our world of plastics. Al is coming for your skilled trades job. They also said robots are coming for trade jobs as well. If that's the case then nothing would get fixed or built. You can't rely on technology or Alexa to fix your plumbing or electrical issues. This is why skilled trades will never be obsolete. 🤖👷♂️ We need to address the shortage of skilled tradespeople. In the next 5-10 years, tens of thousands will retire, taking their knowledge and experience with them. Encourage parents, guidance counselors, and teachers to support the trades. We need their help more than ever. Are you ready to help dm me, let's go. #skilledtrades #jointhetrades #bluecollar #STAC --------------------- ↗ Hey, I'm Andrew.
