Our Volunteer Spotlight for this month is John Estrada, Program Coordinator of the SPE-GCS Membership Committee. John is currently a Project Manager with Westchase District, overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance. He received his M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University - Baton Rouge and B.Sc. in Petroleum University from National University of Colombia - Medellin. When asked about his favorite part of SPE, John said "It is a great community where I can find professional development, technical knowledge, networking opportunities, and volunteering events related to the oil and gas industry". Who am I?". Harry Sinclair shot off his toe while hunting rabbits and used the $5000 insurance claim money to help grubstake his fledgling oil company, which ultimately became Sinclair Oil and Refining.
