    Volunteers are paid in six figures: S-M-I-L-E-S 😃 It was all smiles as we welcomed volunteers from Toward Maixmum Independence (TMI), a nonprofit that works with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. “TMI is a valuable addition to the Southwest Healthcare Auxiliary Volunteer Organization here at Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital and Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital”, shared Brian Connors, Director of Marketing for #SouthwestHealthcare. “Their ability to take on tasks with a cheerful heart and attention to detail has been remarkable.     Corona Regional Medical Center employees were excited to get behind the recent "Back 2 School Supply Drive" organized by the Corona-Norco United Way. Boxes were found throughout the hospital and staff and physicians loaded them with all sorts of school supplies. Dr. Alia Rodriguez, CEO of the local United Way, arrived at the hospital to pick up all the goodies and distribute them to students in the Corona, Norco and Eastvale area! CRMC is always ready to support our local organizations as their "Partner in Health & Healing".

    Exciting news! 🎉 Dr. Niraj Parekh has successfully performed Southwest Healthcare Temecula Valley Hospital’s first patient implant of the WATCHMAN FLX™ Pro Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) Device! This medical technology helps reduce the risk of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib) who seek an alternative to long-term blood thinners. The WATCHMAN FLX™ Pro features a permanent polymer coating to reduce the risk of device-related thrombus, enhanced visualization markers for precise placement, and a broader size matrix to treat a wider range of patients. Dr. Parekh shared, "We are thrilled with the successful outcomes of our initial Watchman procedures. This device represents a significant advancement in the treatment of atrial fibrillation, providing our patients with a safe and effective alternative for stroke prevention."     Southwest Healthcare Palmdale Regional Medical Center has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines®- Stroke Gold Plus quality achievement award for its commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines, ultimately leading to more lives saved and reduced disability. Palmdale Regional Medical Center also received the American Heart Association’s Target: StrokeSM Honor Roll Elite award. To qualify for this recognition, hospitals must meet specific criteria that reduce the time between an eligible patient’s arrival at the hospital and treatment with thrombolytic therapy. In addition, Palmdale Regional Medical Center also received the American Heart Association’s Target: Type 2 Diabetes™ Honor Roll award. Target: Type 2 Diabetes aims to ensure patients with Type 2 diabetes, who might be at higher risk for complications, receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based care when hospitalized due to stroke. “Palmdale Regional Medical Center is committed to improving patient care by adhering to the latest treatment guidelines,” said nana deeb, Chief Executive Officer. “Get With The Guidelines makes it easier for our teams to put proven knowledge and guidelines to work on a daily basis, which studies show can help patients recover better. Southwest Healthcare Palmdale Regional Medical Center has achieved validation as a Gluten-Free Food Service facility for patients. Palmdale Regional Medical Center’s nutrition team met the rigorous standards and expectations for safety required to achieve this honor. “At Palmdale Regional Medical Center, we empathize with our patients’ desire for the best options with regard to their health and nutrition,” said nana deeb, Chief Executive Officer. “By making gluten-free cuisine choices available to our patients, we are supporting and addressing evolving dietary needs that contribute to every patient’s expectation of high-quality care during their stay with us.
