We're seeking a matching gift, be it corporate or private!!! This is a tool that will speed a few of the restoration projects in the shop. This will also add to our experiential learning while offering a unique operating exhibit on special occasions. The National Railway Historical Society has awarded us a $2500 matching grant to help us restore the US Army Transportation Corps locomotive crane C-271 built by American Hoist & Derrick in 1953. Another $2500's coming from a single source or a flurry of small donations will help get this project finished. Please see: https://lnkd.in/ePwxurZZ or contact execdirector@train-museum.com for more information

HIdden in our shop is this beauty with roots in the mid 50's. Just behind you'll see primer on a pair of matching passenger cars. This could be our 2nd "park train" set serving kids (and it's all about the kids) of all ages. The completed train set could increase our operating schedule, revenue, and reduce wear on our other train set. We're seeking corporate sponsors to help us get the job done. Branding and more opportunities for you are available. The goal is $30,000. Contact: execdirector@train-museum.com Thank you.

We continue to seek team-playing volunteers willing to share their skill sets and/or willing to learn new skills. Welding, electrical, carpentry, nonprofit management, customer service, archives, exhibit design and installation, painters, fabricators, marketers, tour guides, educators, historians, groundskeepers, gardeners, rail operations, event managers . . . there's more that goes on behind moving Southern RR E-8 6901 down to the shop than meets the eye! Besides that - we've a fantastic group of community-minded people here. Join the fun - execdirector@train-museum.com

Volunteer-driven, we're looking for paint, body, and welding techs to give us a hand, either here at the museum or we'll deliver! These two park train cars need work before we can put them to use for visiting kids (yes - of all ages) to enjoy. Adding cars to our consist will help us generate passenger revenue, just like the big guys. Happy to make a deal and/or in-kind donations for marketing support, the project is also perfect for experiential learning. Contact execdirector@train-museum.com today. Thanks!
