This position will support multiple manufacturing plant facilities. Responsibilities: Create new food formulations and samples through R&D. Identify new ingredients to apply towards new innovative food products. Document product specifications & processes that will be consistent with the production of various manufactured food products. Conduct internal & external audits at multiple locations to measure product quality. Manage food product document control and records, specifications, attaining food safety, verification, product identification trace and incident management. Work with the R&D team to assure all specifications (ingredient specification, formula specification, making specifications, finished product specifications, trade specifications, labeling specification, proper handling specifications) are accurately developed before product launch. Requirements: BS. Degree in a related field of Food Science, Microbiology, Meat Science, Animal Science or Chemistry2+ years or more experience in R&D or Food Technology from a food manufacturing or food development company. 2+ years of R&D experience with meat products. Knowledge of FDA & US Government regulations, including labeling & nutritional facts with use of Genesis Nutritional Software. Must be detailed oriented with excellent communication skills. Excellent technical writing skills. Experience with MS Office Suite and Excel. Ability to travel regionally with some overnight stays required. Some flexibility to work from home on occasion.  Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. The right candidate will be responsible establishing and maintaining the upkeep of a 24-hour three shift plant facility. Maintain production equipment in a manner that ensures employee safety and minimizes interruptions in the operation of the facility. Oversee the repair and preventative maintenance of food manufacturing machines. Monitor all material handling equipment maintenance activities; making sure all equipment is serviced as required. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, PLC’s and precision measuring and testing instruments. Make recommendations to senior management to improve the maintenance function. Repair & troubleshoot various hydraulic and conveyor machine equipment. Requirements: High School Diploma, Trade School Certification or similar diploma.  3+ Years industrial maintenance mechanic experience with experience strongly preferred from a food or beverage manufacturing production plant. Experience working with industrial refrigeration and other heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts and aero lifts. Working knowledge of industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems. Broad knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Troubleshoot / repair pumps, valves and packaging equipment. Hands on experience with Robotic machinery, Siemens PLC’s for packaging machines. Ability to work in hot and cold environments. Electrical background up to 480V industrial 3-phase, & basic PC/ software skills. Maintain GMP standards with ability to lift up to 50lbs to 75lbs. Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without the need for a visa sponsorship now or in the future.
