Please join me in celebrating Tracey on her 2-YEAR Workaversary as Solid Ground MN's Housing Navigator! 😊 Tracey works extremely hard to house all families. She builds strong relationships with families as well as with housing providers, approaching every situation with a positive attitude and never getting discouraged. She has a wealth of knowledge and loves sharing what she knows with others – she is the go-to person on everything housing. 🏠 She has a bright and joyful spirit! Her positive attitude and infectious laugh uplift everyone around her. Her communication skills, ability to think outside the box, and wealth of resources, help her to excel as a Housing Navigator. You can always depend on Tracey to assist a coworker or a client, and her dedication to helping others transform their lives is apparent in her daily work. Tracey, you are a talented and valuable team asset, and we are so grateful to have you!

🛠 Renovation progress: we waterproofed the exterior foundation, sawcut the interior concrete for footings, and backfilled the exterior footings. We also framed the wall and roof for the building addition. Next week, we'll be roofing the building addition, working on the interior foundation, and relocating interior plumbing in preparation for structural beam installation! 📚 🤾🏾♂️ 🎭 🏊🏽♀️ Summer camp is in full swing - and we're busy creating, learning, and playing at Redeemer Lutheran Church this year! 2024 Solid Ground MN activities and learning: ✅ Made solar ovens ✅ Did egg drop experiment ✅ Went on field trip to Shoreview Destination Playground ✅ Saw a play at Children's Performing Arts Theater WBL ✅ Played Literacy Bingo ✅ Worked on STEM projects We’re looking for volunteers to work with kids Wednesdays & Thursdays, 10:30-12:30, or 1-3pm. Solid Ground MN = Success! 💚😀💙 Prevention funding helped a man who is in school, working, and caring for his minor brother. They were close to losing their housing and getting their utilities shut off. We were able to assist with utilities and past due rent, keeping the brothers in their home, in school, supporting them as they work to create a brighter future! Prevention Assistance is an area of growth for Solid Ground, begun during the COVID pandemic. This program uses prevention funds for families that are at risk of homelessness in Ramsey and Washington Counties. Families can receive assistance with past due rent, utilities, and help in paying first month’s rent and deposit. In 2023, the program served over 180 families. A lot happens at Solid Ground for families emerging from homelessness into a brighter future.

Did you know we assembled 32 "Welcome Home" baskets for families moving in to our programs in 2024? Thank you for the support we've received from donors like you who continue to meet the needs of our families. 👷♂️ Renovation progress 🔨 We’ve been busy at East Metro Place! We removed interior bearing walls, completed digging footings, poured the new addition and stoop footings, received block delivery, relocated plumbing for truss relocation, worked on exterior footings/block work, cut and excavated for the new interior footings, and modified interior truss. Next week we’ll waterproof and backfill the foundation, frame the building addition, and form and pour interior footings!
