I am over the top excited to announce that I have joined Social Leverage as a Venture Partner Who is Social Leverage? I sought out this firm for my own personal investment and the more I got to know Howard Lindzon, Matt Ober, CAIA, Tom Peterson and Gary Benitt the more I knew I needed to join them. Not only are they some of the smartest and nicest guys in the game (truly, if you know them, you love them), they see the best deals IMO. Social Leverage specializes in seed/VC stage and has some of the best performing products, with funds that have distribution to paid-in (DPI) performance in the top DECILE. The funds are focused on wealthtech/fintech/saas with about 10% allocated to unique opportunities in consumer/media/sports, funtech :) I am also personally allocating to Fund V, which I am working on Social Leverage was the first check into amazing firms like RobinHood, Alpaca, and Kustomer for example. One of the most exciting parts about this firm is their network. When you join with me @ Social Leverage you become part of one of the most influential networks I have ever come across. Our LP's are some of the smartest names on Wall Street with CEO's of publicly traded companies, billionaire investors, tech founders, analysts/partners at large investment banks, and people who generally keep their fingers on the pulse of the market. Howard even connected Joshua Brown and Barry Ritholtz to form Ritholtz Wealth Management, power of the network! Why is this important? Social Leverage gets access to some of the most interesting and promising up and comers and outside of our core team, the brainpower we have access to helps the team to make the most informed decisions. We also actually HELP OUR FOUNDERS GROW THEIR BUSINESS. Having connections with the top people at the premier firms allows us to kick open the doors for our founders so they can establish relationships that would be otherwise difficult to obtain, especially at the early stage. I will be specifically working with our existing LP's along with RIA's that are looking to provide differentiation to their higher net worth clients and exposure to seed/VC at what I consider to be the most exciting time ever to invest in startups.
